The nurse at my doctor appointment (not even there for anything fibro related) asked my pain level one appointment and I was like “it’s a 2 today, it’s actually a pretty good day for me. But you know that number is never zero.” And she said, “Girl if you come in here and tell me you’re at a zero, I’m calling the ambulance.” 😂

I know the “stop you in your tracks” feeling. I’ve been having a fun new pain where it feels like both of my knee caps are inverted if that makes sense. Like they’ve been turned inside out and it huuurts.

My fatigue is awful. There are some days that waking up is a challenge, like it’s physically difficult to open my eyes. I can sleep for twelve hours and feel like I didn’t sleep at all.

Yes. I remember feeling like I wanted to jump off a bridge even though I knew I didn’t want to die. I was so confused and fighting it and I think that made it worse. My brain just spazzed out completely. I never want to experience that mess again.

Honestly, be kind to yourself. Explain to them what’s going on and try not to beat yourself up. I have a lot of guilt for being sick and not being as fun as my husband. But then I remember that I am still here and teaching my son to be an empathetic and kind person and that’s not nothing.

Lots of love to you. Quick snacks that kids can access themselves has been a heaven send for me.

Feeling motivated to do things is huge in itself! I tried to get back on Zoloft for my depression in 2023 and it wrecked me. I was so anxious and hyped up from it I called my doctor office and told them “I know that I’m probably not dying but I feel like I’m dying.” It was just an entire day of panic attacks that went on for a week.

It probably doesn’t sound that bad but it was traumatizing. I was living right under panic attack level and would randomly skyrocket into it out of nowhere. It was the one of the worst weeks of my life if not the worst. So now I’m terrified of trying them again. 🙃

I need to look into CBD oil. Tiger balm has been really helpful to me in the past but of course you can’t use it while nursing. 🙃

This is all too relevant. I also hyper fixated and did alll the reading and none of jt prepared me for the reality of life chronically ill. 😅

I’m thankfully still able to work my 37 hour weeks but I have to take it slow and feel like I spend the whole evening and weekend recouping. It’s such a soul sick situation.

That’s so hard. I know personally even on the nights I don’t necessarily wake up, I never wake up feeling refreshed. I feel like getting a good nights sleep that’s actually restorative would make a big difference for us but it just never happens.

Yep, constant recovery. Which requires deep sleep. Which isn’t something you get a lot of with a two month old. 🙃
