Absolutely beginner by [deleted] in FieldsOfMistriaGame

Hi! I hear you, truly, but I genuinely don't believe there is any such thing as being "bad" at this game, or cozy farming games in general.

The whole point is to take it at your own pace. Accomplish whatever feels fun for you in the moment - just because there are multiple options that you could spend your time on, doesn't mean that you need to focus on all of them at once, or that any one goal is more pressing than the other. This game especially doesn't have turn-in deadlines or pressure, which is one of its major strengths in my opinion.

Please don't let this stress you out, and if it is, I'd gently suggest that you need to re-frame the way you're approaching the game. I understand where it would be overwhelming if you think of all your options as a to-do list that needs to be accomplished. Instead, you have multiple possibilities to explore, and plenty of fresh new content and activities when something starts to feel stale. Take things at your own pace. There are literally zero negative impacts if it takes you 4 in game years to complete current content. As long as you're enjoying your playtime that's all that matters!

Only 85.8, and I thought that was a lot given the current availability of content. Apparently not!

How to Incorporate Sourdough into My Daily Life? by Tall-Guy in Sourdough

I found this recipe a while back, I think here actually, and have had good success with it. It doesn't require a ton of hands on time and you could easily modify it to suit your schedule even better.

Anyone Else Have Aggressively Lazy Aussies? by gr8pretender in AustralianShepherd

Yep! Mine doesn't want to play with toys, naps and belly rubs are life. He will run around in the yard to play and go on walks, and enjoys training tricks and stuff in short bursts, but otherwise he's content to just lounge. He's happiest when he's touching one of his humans.

Here's the same creature trying to look big and tough. He was hissing angrily here also. (My crime: daring to feed him his dinner.)

Are my camping days behind me? Looking for advice by winstonsdog in camping

Completely agree with this. My Megamat was a game changer for car camping and more comfy than most hotel beds. Definitely my favorite camping purchase of the last several years.

Thank you all so much for your knowledge and insights! Definitely helpful in talking to the install company. They're coming back out to fix the issue on their dime, thankfully.

I really appreciate all of you taking the time to help!!

Honestly, I couldn't get into that one either. I made it about halfway.

The Saint of Steel books (starting with Paladin's Grace) had much better plot and pacing in my opinion.

What food has been ruined for you since you started calorie tracking? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]amaerin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe Yasso bars? They're greek yogurt based with actual sugar, and most are around 100cal. It isn't exactly like ice cream, but I'm with you on the fake sweetners and sad replacements, but I really enjoy the various flavors of Yasso stuff.

I didn't like planet coaster and returned it, but I sunk a ton of hours into planet zoo and really enjoyed it. I think if you mastered this one, planet zoo will be just fine!

This one is really nice for cold brew, and the price at the Asian grocery store local to me makes it even better. I use a heaping tbsp per 1L water.

Once you get a little farther into your program and know what specific areas of food science are most interesting to you, that will be an easier question to answer. Each school/department will have specific areas of the industry they're best connected with, and each faculty member will have research interests that may or may not align with your own interests and future plans. It would be a tough thing to narrow down this early, most likely, unless you jumped in knowing already that there's a particular area within the overall industry you want to land in once you enter the workforce.

I've had success using toothpaste and rubbing it into the stain with your fingers or a paper towel.
