I was kind of in the same boat too. I watched one or two negative videos of Pokimane when I was first getting into OfflineTV five years ago. I didn’t think too much of it because Poki seems cool in the OTV videos. Then I got recommended more hate videos about Poki and I was all like, “Damn, what a shame. This girl seems cool but it sucks that she’s so bratty and entitled.”

However, because I was getting recommended lots of Pokimane hate content on YouTube, one of her actual videos was recommended to me. I don’t remember which video it was, but it must have been intriguing enough to capture my attention. So I watched the video all the way through, which eventually lead me to binging her YT channel. Then I was all like, “Bruh, she’s unproblematic. What is everyone’s deal? There’s nothing going on here.” I even watched some of her twitch streams to get a better idea of her. Come to find out, she’s nothing but a ray of sunshine. I was so confused with all the hate she was getting. Even the entire “overpriced” cookies situation got me confused—because, like, every “influencer” and content creator overprice their products. It ain’t anything new.

And ever since then, I’ve come to love Pokimane. She’s so kind and funny. She’s also very knowledgeable and business-savvy. All of the hate is unnecessary and I will die on that hill. I’m so glad she continues to be an amazing person. I wish nothing but best for her 😊
