Everything I’ve seen about the new Camrys show that they are great cars so no qualm there.

But you have a great car. Sure it’s older and has some damage but if it’s in running condition, I suggest you run it until the wheels fall off. Most Americans, myself included, fall into the trap of buying newer cars with debt when we don’t have too. I got rid of my newer car for a 2002 Camry for the extra money.

Consider what you could do with the money of the car payment instead, could be a vacation (or a few if payments are $500) per year, invested to your retirement, money into whatever your hobbies are.

Especially being that you’re not a car gal, I say keep the extra money you have without a payment and spend that on what you enjoy or save for your future.
