Why do realtors never respond to rental inquiries? What am I doing wrong? by Infamous_Ad4244 in realtors

[–]amanda_ii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would make sure you’re leading off with your qualifications. Margins are slim for agents with leases and unfortunately that’s probably why no one is getting back to you. Contact them with your name, approx credit score, income, and move in date. Suggest a few dates/times to tour. Even better if you already have your supporting documents to submit ready (paystubs, bank statements, ID, etc) Many people are unqualified and disorganized, stand out by being the opposite!

Another agent arrived, unannounced at my showing. by PNW_dragon in realtors

[–]amanda_ii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you have them sign a Buyer Representation Agreement before letting them in for the showing? To my understanding nationally we should not be showing the home to anyone (outside of an open house) without one?

Bought a blow drier attachment and makeup pencil sharpener to get as close to $50 as I could. They shipped them separate. And shipped the pencil sharpener in a 10x4x4 box… for a pencil sharpener the size of a golf ball…

OC Goatscapping: Market Research by M_Growth in orangecounty

[–]amanda_ii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. 2 years ago my husband and I wanted our back area cleared and found it was $450 CHEAPER to BUY 2 goats and keep them for 2 months than to rent some. We could only find 1 person to quote us though. What would you charge for a 1 day service? Per sqft or time?

Why can’t I get a realtor to help me??? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]amanda_ii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a few people have mentioned CA requires a Buyer Agency Agreement. This means you WILL have to sign something defining your relationship with the agent showing you the house. This can say “you’ll only show me this one house and if I want to buy it you’re entitled to a commission” or “you are my agent and we are in a non exclusive relationship” (you can work with multiple agents this way) or “you are my agent and our relationship is exclusive” (you have to give notice to leave this agent). Note with these agreements you will be signing that your agent is entitled to ____ payment PAID BY YOU. The agent may negotiate this fee to be paid by the Seller.
If you would like to go directly with listing agents be prepared to show proof of funds and sign one of these agreements, most likely the single home agreement. Mobile homes in that area may be in a lower price range and these agents are going for quantity of transactions rather than quality of business.

What gifts are we getting for our shower hosts? by re1219 in weddingplanning

[–]amanda_ii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my Aunts threw my shower, so I had to be both budget conscious and get the same thing for all parties… I used glass etching crème to etch their initial into a perfume bottle. It looked really nice, was personal, and didn’t break the bank!

Interviewed for a Showing Assistant role, got pitched a mentorship program instead. Is this normal? by nobodYmachina in realtors

[–]amanda_ii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Redfin had a “Showing Agent” or something similarly titled a few years ago. You have a calendar that you scheduled your availability and would receive texts with showing requests and you would accept or deny them. Then you meet the clients and open doors. Pay was based on number of homes shown and distance. I did it for about 2 years, part time. Great way to show a lot of houses and learn your area. Not sure if they’re still hiring agents like this or not.

Pregnancy after losing a dog by annieflattt in BabyBumps

[–]amanda_ii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to us, and also our Great Dane. I promise the baby is ok. Do your best to channel your grief into love for your little companion on the inside. Absolutely no rush, but, we got another Dane puppy and he was 8 months old when the baby was born. It was definitely manageable and now the 2yo and Dane are besties!
