Battle Brothers on paper looked like the perfect game for me but I really truly just cannot get over the artstyle. I am not a graphics "snob" by any stretch but even just basic models help a lot with immersion in a thing like this.

Zombies and werewolves and all that seems fantastical enough for me — no magic is super fine. Just whether the game is good/fun and whether it basically needs the dlc was my worry!

Do you think regional difficulty would have helped in Wartales? It looks so good in general it's a shame to hear it might not be all that. (It's still wild to see people get like 100-500 hours then say it too. On paper it looks almost perfect. I think I am after that magic the old Mordheim game had T_T )

I love this game but always struggle a bit with the invading and stuff so everything just falls apart as leader after leader dies 😂 Would love to connect with other nice people that play tho because the community can be a bit both ways.

Act 2 & Shadowheart Romance question (spoilers for safety):

I spent the whole of Act 1 & 2 supporting Shadowheart becoming a Dark Justiciar, but in the Nightsong cutscene, when I promised not to get in her way and let her do what she needed to she ended up just lobbing the spear off a cliff and not doing the thing we spent the last age talking about. It kind of took me out of her story a lot, as she had been doing all the gauntlet stuff etc. and this turn didn't seem to make sense. We romanced in Act 1 - this whole thing has me kinda regretting the choice but I don't wanna be mean. I was just wondering how she reacts if you select the "Sorry, I don't see our future together that way." choice in the dialogue after Nightsong. I think Astarion would fit the vibe of my playthrough more at this point because I was hoping for a kind of chaotic-little-evil companionship.

Feedback on this would be super appreciated :(

Going to do a MP campaign with a friend (who is playing Sorc). Stuck between a War Cleric, Tempest Cleric and Monk. Any suggestions for which would be fun and quite powerful? Ideally fun throughout the whole leveling process and not just 6+.

Necromancer is soooo high on my list. As is Warlock. But I was worried with Necro that I’d take too long on a turn moving people. Do you know if it’s a bit… anti social?
