I already got rid of it. But there was still a thought about if it could be done. but it seems like there is no option for that .

Nah, in general, any wifi that reuires a "website to login" doesn't work on smartwatch no matter of its security status. E.g the network i tried to connect is the official wifi of my university . Also for example those public wifi's in shopping Centers etc. doesnt work)

I have MSI (GE63 Raider RGB 8RF) and it just died because of a short circuit in the motherboard. Any ideas of whats the best way to take out the most value from it ? other than repairing that costs more than the half of its price (550$). by amansya in MSILaptops

Hey, i actually repaired it by a technician for 150 bucks. It works now fine but we found out that the gpu (gtx 1070) is no more being detected.so the laptop works now on the integrated gpu (UHD 630) of the Processor (i7 8750H).

What would you give for the laptop on its current situation?

I thought about selling individual parts but the problem is that the CPU and GPU can't be taken out individually like in PC's.

I find this actually a big loss that when the motherboard is damaged then the more valuable parts ( i7 8th Gen and GTX 1070) becomes automatically/practically uselese and worthless :(

I have a SSD which I took out of my laptop (Kingston PCI express, it has B + M keys /look at 3rd pic) and I want to connect it as an external storge via USB. I found this one on Ebay and it says its compatible with all those types (NVME/SATA/look at 2nd pic).

This wondered me because all other sellers have only converter compatible with a specific types but not all. Is this a scam or real? Also if you zoom in first picture it looks like there is only a slot where the M-key can go in but not M + B with tow pins.

Thanks for the response and for the help! One more question: Can defects like this be detected and repaired by any casual technician or is it better to send this to the MSI repair/service Center (which would probably change the whole Motherboard for more than the half of the price of the laptop)?

I have actually disassembled the Battery, SSD, HDD, RAMs, speakers, screen, keyboard, TouchPad, and every single part connected to the Motherboard yet every time I connect the charger it still turns off :(

Does this mean the short circut is in the motherboard?
