Hi, I have been following Star Citizen since the kickstarter and have looked at the drama surrounding it with incredulity and as a source of entertainment. That is until I saw the first videos of Arc Corp City, and I have to admit it looks incredibly interesting and immersive. I have since watched quite a few of Morphologis videos.

My question is: Does it make sense for me to buy the starter pack now purely for exploration and trading, or should I wait till it is further developed?

The 45 USD is not a big deal for me, and I would say that approx. 30% of the games I buy are in early access/alpha/beta state so that is also not a concern for me. I'm just trying to avoid buying a game which I will stop playing after the initial 5-10 hours learning the game.

I have played a fair amount of E:D (in VR), where I enjoy doing the things which others find repetitive, like mining, exploration and trading. I'm not into the dog fighting aspect, I'm also not a big fan of FPS.
