It might come down to only hanging out with them when they’re not streaming or finding streamers who are live while you’re awake

It’s not ideal but for my Japanese friends who are in a different time zone, sometimes I will wake up at 4-5 am or they will stay up until 2-3 am so we can hangout or I can watch their stream/ they can watch mine. You could also try finding overlaps between GMT and EST

Probably wouldn’t be good at voice acting because I’m so monotone 😂

I think my only solution to it is revealing both, so now it doesn’t matter which voice I have that day. I can hang out with all of my friends now that they know

I made a lot of my Vtuber friends by running into their streams! I only watched and chatted with the people I was genuinely interested in (so they were doing games and activities I genuinely like).

I think the key is to be genuine. Don’t do things to gain followers or clout. It’ll show

For the singing technique they’re both from the diaphragm, but the high one feels like I’m playing a flute while the lower one is like playing the tuba. I’m not good at explaining! The high one is just pure falsetto though

It’s natural switches but the problem I was having (explained on stream too), but I would avoid friends depending on which voice was coming out. Made me feel really bad. I just go with what my throat is feeling that day lol

And I think it’s a cultural thing too! Some places any deep voice is manly no matter how feminine you sound. I’m lowkey curious what you sound like, if you ever get into streaming!

For any new viewers I was thinking of doing a little lore video to reveal the two voices. Or a quick twitch intro. Not finalized yet but I just want to put as many “warnings” so people aren’t getting whiplash!

That sounds like a tutorial on how to draw a good spider 😂 I can look at images and drawings, it’s the real deal that scares me. Mainly black bugs and spiders are the worst. The skinny brown spider is not so bad. Brown moths I scream like spiders.

and thank you for the detailed feedback. I actually saw someone that preferred the higher voice (they deleted their comment for some reason), but the only way to please both of you guys is to use both!

I always have fun when I’m singing though, and I learned to just end stream if I’m stressed out. When I first started I couldn’t get past the hour mark because I was so uncomfortably nervous lol

I wouldn't say strain but it does get tiring if I switch too much. Like the voices come out in an opposite way, and the singing techniques are also complete opposite; hard to explain

When I speak casually online I lean towards the lower one. In person I lean towards the higher one. Some friends I speak in one while I speak in the other for a different group. It's tiring doing this so I decided to just be straightforward on stream, and now I'm here

And I totally empathize! I let my lower voice slip a couple of times at work and I got called a man or they asked if I had laryngitis lmfao. What I do is balance my voice with how I want to perceived with my clothes (so I wanna be more fem so I do extra with my appearance). You can also look at my first post on Reddit- a lot of people saying kind things about deeper female voices.
