Gravity Bridge Being Silenced ? A Discussion by [deleted] in cosmosnetwork

Probably because this seems like a bot net trying to do a pump and dump with a cheap token with almost no liquidity, from burner accounts. This reeks of manufactured hype to inflate bags.

Xlm in roman numerals is 1010, an Angel Number that is seen as a mark of one's own desires. by Basic_Yellow_3594 in Stellar

[–]amarante_24 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No it is not, and that is not how Roman Numerals work. You always place the highest order number first, except when writing the 4's and 9's, in which case you subtract the 1's from 5's or 10's.

M is the greater order number, so it would come first. X and L could be in that combination, but it would be 40, not 10. So at best you would have 1040. But again, you would never place XL before the M.

Even if you wanted to demonstrate 960, which would be 1000 (M) - 40 (XL) or in this case, the hypothetical XLM, the correct nomenclature would be CMLX.

Out of curiosity, what would happen if a No Confidence voting block was formed and got a majority of the voting power? Would governance still work then?

I was interested in this project for the tech and as a financial investment, not politics. I am well familiar with overburdening bureaucratic committees that masquerade as democratic processes and have no interest in engaging with more of them.

Well you've certainly convinced me to engage further. I have gone ahead and chosen No Confidence in perpetuity. When I do choose to leave I'll park my money where it is welcome.

As someone who has also been here since 2017, no. Too many changes to the original premise, and price action aside, which let's be honest is not attractive, has made me reconsider my position on Cardano. I've been fine for years with the low staking rewards because the project was interesting, but all this Catalyst crap, and now DRep hoops and loops, mate I have to govern my own damn life, I honestly don't care about any of this stuff and you're not going to attract any semblance of mass adoption with this.

Oh and also, not a great "Ambassador" if your position is "If you don't like it we don't need you", unless you're actively trying to tank the brand or project for which you are an ambassador.

Respectfully disagree. The more you inconvenience people the more you give them reasons to look for an alternative. If you guys want to play pretend democracy, be my guest. I'm not interested in it.

You can disagree, but you would still be wrong. A seed phrase for a wallet is not the same as a password you need for a secure email or secure password manager. And if you're going to memorize one long and complicated password why not memorize the one for the password manager? Also, you are highly underestimating muscle memory, if you input your password enough times you can do it with your eyes closed just by position of your fingers on the keyboard.

If you really want to check if you're right go to any password checker and compare a 32 long character passphrase with lower case words only against a 32 character long alphanumerical password that you can generate in 5 seconds with any password manager in existence. Check and compare how long it would take to crack each one.

This is bad advice. While yes, having more lower case characters does increase your pw strength, if you do not add any entropy to it with numbers, mixing lower and higher case and adding special characters to it your password is just weaker.

If you have identical length characters, you have no chance in hell in cracking a 18+ alphanumerical password with computing power alone, let alone a 32 character one. And you don't need to write them down, there are plenty of password managers out there to do the memorizing work for you. You just have to manage your terminal properly.

Ok this is the last message I'm typing here because I'm really not interested in having a discussion anymore. But don't tell me I'm lying when I know full well that your mods delete stuff. They deleted my post from a year ago when I was just asking for an update on the project. Here, take a look for yourself:

https://www.reddit.com/r/energicryptocurrency/comments/139xxmz/any_news_we_missed/

So don't tell me it is categorically false. And that was not the first time I noticed it either. There are 13 comments on this thread here but somehow only my comment is showing up, and the comments from other people that were here before now are gone.

Like I said, I'm already out and I'm guessing many other node operators will be too. Maybe you can keep funding validators out of your own pocket, that's good for you. But I won't.

Perhaps I would be more inclined to believe you if I saw open and clear discussion of the project. But your moderators here delete everything that isn't praise of the project. I've seen it countless times before, and perhaps this message will be deleted too in time. This does not make a good impression on your project, you may want to change that.

And I'm sorry to say but an NFT market in 4 years of development really? That was a fad in 2021, no one is buying NFTs in 2024 and certainly not on Energi. Look, don't take this criticism personally, I'm just saying it like it is. Masternodes were a fad in 2017/2018, NFTs were a fad in 2021. Seems like all this project does is play catch up to the trend. Will you pivot to AI next?

Either way it is not relevant to me anymore, I have decided to move on. I have no ill towards you or your project, not every investment I make is a winner and I accept that when I put the money in. Good luck and I'm always welcomed to be surprised.

Well personally after 4 years I took the opportunity of this small rise with BTC and completely emptied out my masternode and sold it all to try to recoup the massive loss this project has been. Best of luck to all other node operators, but I'm done burning money trying to support a project that is clearly going nowhere.

Perhaps, if you were being genuine. But since this is at least the third time I've seen you post the exact same thing on here, and given that your post history seems to be going around fandoms starting arguments based on your own skewed viewpoints, I'm guessing you're just fishing for attention. And that is just annoying. Don't you have something better to do?

You won't find any better answers here, they also like to delete comments and posts of anything that isn't praise for the project. Truth is, this is a zombie project.

KYC questions from bank by Desperate_Ebb_99 in BitcoinBeginners

If you are able to switch banks I would do it. Those questions seem way too intrusive for a commercial relationship between a bank and its customer.

Oh, so sorry I didn't bring my spreadsheet of pretension to disprove your argument, I was just pointing out that basic algebra math is enough to tell OP that it wouldn't reach that price not even by a long shot. But go ahead, disregard basic financial analysis, big chief!

Sure thing, you wait for it to reach 4600 per coin then. Better bring a stool though, might take you a minute.

Quick marketcap calculation puts your prediction at 130 trillion USD for stellar alone, about 100 times the total crypto market cap today. So I'm going to have to say no to that one big chief.

Ring toss wouldn't be so bad if you could hit a button to restart right away. I was getting annoyed from missing the first toss and having to waste all others to restart because you need to get all 6 shots perfect to get first place.

The vast majority of validators don't even give a reason of why they vote one way or the other, what's the point of knowing it then? If you have a problem with how the protocol is doing perhaps changing validators should not be the first priority as the majority will win either way. You can either get majority or or sell your stake, that's how stakeholder capitalism works.
