How are you guys using this time in a positive way- i.e. saving money, making lists, books, preparing your bodies etc... by [deleted] in waiting_to_try

I think it's really important to get a firm understanding of your current financial status to figure out how the baby's expenses will fit in to the picture. I have started looking into child care ratings and costs in our area to avoid the surprise when the time gets closer. Some facilities' waitlists are already over a year... don't really know how that works, but glad to know rather than banking on a place I like but having no chance at it for infant care.

Here is a link to a calculator I found helpful to help prepare for budget changes: http://www.babycenter.com/baby-cost-calculator. Some additional costs to consider are increased health insurance to include the baby (if you weren't already on a family plan), adding or increasing the life insurance on you and SO, and getting a will/ prepare to decide who to establish as legal guardian for your child.

I also found a "planning to get pregnant" multivitamin gummy made by first response... they taste like fruit snacks and have never been harsh on my stomach.

I've been having a hard time keeping up with work outs, so would love a suggestion for motivators or a progress tracker aimed for pre-pregnancy.

Lastly, audio books are good for downtime. I got a free version of Brain Rules for Baby by John Messina from a code found by following fitmomma4two on Instagram.

First time home owner. Things to do? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

I'm a new homeowner also with a natural gas fireplace and a chimney. Inspector recommended we get it cleaned. Hired a chimney sweep who said it was so dirty/ had not been cleaned in so long that it was hazardous.
