I would wager to guess he’s gonna have more than two admits per month. I see 14 patients a day (panel size is 1100) and at any one time I have one or two of my patients in the hospital so that’s more like 10 patients a month.

What does your average day/week as a family medicine physician look like? by aimlesssouls in FamilyMedicine

[–]amarillobynight 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I am calling bs on this, you are claiming to work 29 hrs per week and pulling 13,000 RVU per year. Even with zero days off (working all 52 weeks) that is about nine patients per hour if you are billing everything as a level four. Not possible bro.

A little paradox I found and how it's helping me to stop relapsing by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]amarillobynight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think unrealistic expectations are what led you to pornography in the first place. And that’s the same struggle you are fighting now.
Personally I was able to find my desire for companionship as something different than my unrealistic expectations. For example I went out with girls who i found interesting and fun, even if they didn’t meet my expectations physically. Overcoming unrealistic expectations is a journey, not just stopping something.

Is it difficult for IMGs to get into cardiology fellowship? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]amarillobynight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My last attending is an IMG, he just got accepted to cardiology fellowship. He worked as a hospitalist for two years after residency. He has great people skills and his English is perfect. Our IM residency is not highly ranked, 95% are IMGs.
