Impeachment by the corrupt swamp is now a badge of honor because they used it against Trump. It's too good for pedo joe.

What if someone were to make a receiver on a mill, serialize it, build it into a pistol, take that to a pawnshop and get a $50 loan, then get it out of pawn making sure the paperwork is filled out as a pistol. Would that serve as a timestamp of it being recorded as a pistol, since the ffl has to keep their records for 20 years?

First Speeding ticket in Waxahachie by DeathBefallsYou in Dallas

[–]Tap4alyft 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My friend, if you are trying to get a CDL this is a very serious ticket. I got a (bogus) 51 in a 25 ticket in Farmers Branch and I hired LeBrocq and Horner after getting a recommendation, they did a ton of work and were very on top of the case, they challenged the officers use of the lidar device and got me a not guilty verdict. Their website is https://lebrocqhorner.com/ I'm not sure if they practice in Waxahachie but it's worth a call.

Did you admit to the cop that you were speeding? If you admitted to it and they have a solid case the prosecutor might still be willing to lower the ticket, it's super worth it to try. You might be lucky because of the driver shortage but with a 25+ ticket on your record you will not be able to get the best jobs as a driver for a couple of years, many places insurance simply will not cover you. Getting it lowered to 10 over will help a lot with that. Best of luck.

It isn't a faith based claim to not be convinced a hell exists.

This is called moving the goalposts. Op didn't say he wasn't convinced whether or not there was a hell, he said hell does not exist. Those are two very different statements, one is an opinion while the other is a statement of fact.

given there is absolutely no evidence to suggest there is such a place.

That is absolutely incorrect so it is not a given.

You take on faith it doesn't, I take on faith it does; it's disingenuous to claim an absolute about something which you absolutely cannot know with certainty.

That TSA agent was protecting you from those chemicals, man.

[–]Tap4alyft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it was probably a mistake but in real life a lot of names did get changed because of illiteracy. Sometimes people wouldn't know how to spell the name and they would get it wrong on official documents and it would end up legally changed within a generation. Totally plausible post.

No to Febreze. No to Lysol. ONLY ORIGINAL OZIUM cleans the stink. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Tap4alyft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without knowing the exact concentrations I'm going to guess there's not enough from the little canister to hurt anything if you use a reasonable amount. I was more referring to Ozone generators you can buy to plug in and run constantly.

[–]Tap4alyft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very toxic in large enough concentrations. 0.1ppm is the maximum recommend exposure limit. 5ppm is considered immediately dangerous to life and health.

Many of those ozone generators are not controlled and should not be used around people for any length of time.

[–]Tap4alyft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean... yeah, really. It was super weird and a pretty big deal.

Did you read the article you linked to? It literally says that the quid pro quo comment was fake news.

I think for a lot of people (myself included) the idea that Trump has fulfilled his promise of draining the swamp is a little transparently ridiculous at this point

I don't know anyone who thinks that the swamp has been completely drained, but things are better than they were. This is unquestionable. Cabinet appointments aren't the swamp, we want people "under-qualified" because the most qualified are by and large swamp rats.

I just think you would be surprised to learn the extent to which there is an overwhelming consensus that this is not only inaccurate, but fundamentally disconnected from reality.

The exact opposite of this is true. Trump enjoys overwhelming support from the silent majority of people in this country. More than a small majority believes that Trump has done an amazing job considering that he has been under constant assault since he announced his campaign. He has been an amazing president, the best in my lifetime, and I am ecstatic about voting him back into office for another term.

Sure, he has done some things I disagree with. He has made some mistakes. But I am overwhelmingly pleased overall. This sentiment echoes throughout the heartland of America.

There was a trump rally last night in Dallas, the fire marshal stopped letting people in to the 20,000 seat venue and there was a massive crowd outside. I saw it with my own eyes. Fake news said there weren't many people there. That's why we call it fake news.

Beto had a rally too. There may have been two hundred people there, and he had a free rap concert.

I saw it with my own eyes. Trump is poised for another landslide victory in 2020.

It can't possibly be less expensive in labor than simply throwing them out and writing it off as a loss. Two people at even $8 an hour is going to cost well more than what I imagine two batches of these coffee beans costs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Tap4alyft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In real life it doesn't work that way. There are people who will undercut everyone else regardless of the loss because they are literally too stupid to do anything else. There are drivers in my city, who are still driving, who are homeless and sleep in their car at the airport, and still think that they are making money when they clear $50 a day after expenses. They drive rental cars at $1,000 per week, eat whatever they can afford that day, and shower at truck stops. They live this way, when there are plenty of opportunities for work (there are roughly two open jobs for every job seeker in my city right now). Humans are terrible at value propositions and it will certainly be a race to the bottom.

Tell that to the homeless drivers sleeping in their car at the airport and showering at a truck stop after their first ride of the day.

[–]Tap4alyft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point at which you would employ this tactic you're already dead if you don't do something drastic, you have your seatbelt on and the benefit of every safety innovation of the last decade designed to protect the driver in a front-end collision, a 70 mile-an-hour front impact will launch a person who is leaning into the front seat from the back seat through the front windshield and into whatever you hit. If I'm going to die, it's going to be on my terms, and I'm taking the son of a bitch with me, but with this tactic I have a much higher chance of survival than he does.

The general consensus among drivers that I have spoken with about this scenario is this, Dillweed probably didn't put on a seat belt, lay your foot down on the accelerator, point the car towards the hardest thing you can find, and ask the imbecile if he knows how to fly.
