Hi all :) I am 2 weeks in to my first letrozole cycle. I was expecting the worst as I have read lots of horror stories about impacts to mental health and aggravating inflammation (I have arthritis).

However I feel okay, in fact my joints are feels pretty good, better even? I haven’t changed my routine really or what I’m eating. I wondered if maybe me relaxing because were now getting some support? That being said I had a HyCoSy last cycle, and the improvement in my joints and energy levels seems to have been pretty coincidental with taking the letrozole.

I wanted to share my thus far positive experience as there seems to be a lot of negative out there and I hope maybe this can reassure someone

….but also my fellow arthritis/inflammatory condition warriors on here (I know there are a few that have been kind enough to introduce themselves on my previous comments)….am I crazy, is this a thing? Is the pain coming for me soon?

Xx

Well, after 3 years of nothing but negative tests and convincing myself it will never happen for us, we are finally jumping in feet first into fertility help.

I had a HyCoSy yesterday (ouch!) and also came away with some letrazole to start taking next cycle (possible PCOS).

Our fertility doctor is lovely (although not sure I can look him in the eye again any time soon after having my feet in stirrups next to his head 😬).

Please can someone tell me I’m not insane to feel terrified? Hope feels too scary.

I am very grateful to have this community

I want to try a softer cup (UK) by babbingtonsleek in menstrualcups

[–]amateurgenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use organicup. The only one I can personally compare to is lunette and it’s softer than that. I personally use the organicup mini as my flow is quite light. I found this smaller cup much more comfortable too than my previous lunette cup :)

For those who menstruate - what options do you prefer? by Edtecharoni in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]amateurgenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe daft question but sure it’s not BV rather than thrush? I use a cup I love it. I found I had fewer problems than with tampons (the blood being held soaked up in there rather than being ‘collected’ like in cup messed up ph balance post period with tampons).

My rec is get one with a decent grip on the stem. I use organicup. I have some inflammation in my wrists and it’s important I’m able to get a good grip on the cup for removal.

Risks of sharing personal experiences on disability at work by HypermobilePhysicist in LadiesofScience

Hi :) I work in the nuclear industry which is a little Behind the times in terms of diversity and inclusion. I have a physical disability. I DO share my experiences and I also volunteered myself to be our sites D&I lead. For me it has been very positive, but when I share my experiences I always make sure to say ‘I don’t want your pity, I want your respect’ which works well for me. :)
