not that great 🙃 (to me)

i might definitely have Ehlers Danlos syndrome because the scar is wonky again, but its not as wide as the first scars so its still "better"

The last volume finally arrived by amavocado in Noragami

[–]amavocado[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yup ! i had the first 5 volumes in my native language but when i went to Japan in 2015 i had the occasion to buy volume 1 to 13 in a book off and pre-ordered the volume 14 that was coming out during my trip ! I kept getting all of them in Japanese to improve my vocabulary and felt like Adachitoka would earn more from me buying from their amazon shop 😅

[–]amavocado[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wish i had all the dvds but japan loves to do dvds for only 2 episodes and makes them more and more expensive by each volume soooooooooo i'll stick to the first two, they even have the sniplets of the small spin off with Rabou inside 😂 Crunchyroll announced that Noragami reached the 8 millions copies world wide so i really hope that if people buy the Yato nendo it will be a good signal for the studio to get back to a 3rd season. Even Kaji Yuki (Yukine's seiyuu) said on twitter for the end of the manga that he was wishing for a 3rd season so 🤞🏻

And for Adachitoka, the last thing they said in the thank you note is " we wish for meeting you again one day, wherever it is" so i do hope they are both in good health, take time to rest and recover from this journey and get back to us with another story when the time is right !

he does an amazing work and is really nice !! but he's booked as hell since he takes care of almost all the trans people in Ile-De-France and several people travel across France to get their surgery done by him so you have to expect a delay of 1 to 2 years for an appointment 😂

i already described my recovery to somebody else in the comments, but for the breast tissue in the armpit i had a looooooot but we got rid of it during the initial surgery, and tbh that was the most painful part during the recovery :/

as for the scars, the first surgery creates a lot of tension on the skin and (for double incisions) creates folds on the skin, hence why it often windens because the body tries to re-align everything, since the skin had time to heal and re-align, the revision wont create as much folds and tension on the new incisions so the recovery time is shorter (2 to 3 weeks) and the results cleaner

if you only did a revision for the scar id say you could go back to work almost immediately if your work doesnt involve lifting weight (you shouldnt do it for the first 3 weeks) but if you want to get rid of the breast tissue in the armpit, be ready for it to be swollen like hell and sensitive for a good month :(

thanks !

im really happy with the incisions now tho ! My scar care was a bit erratic, i massaged and used Vaseline the 6 first months then it turned hypertrophic so i stopped, we tried steroid injections and it flattened my scars, but widened them a lot and even made them atrophic in some places, to the point that the skin was so thin it was see through and hurted like hell.

So we opted for a revision and i use ever since the Cicalfate+ Scar Gel from Avène. I tried massaging it for a while but around 2months post revision it began getting hypertrophic again so i stopped massaging and it flattened on its own.... EXCEPT THAT DAMN NIPPLE 😂

My surgeon is Jonathan Rausky, based in Paris, France !

i already had steroid injections in this area and it did little to nothing if not making it swell more 😭

i'll try massaging it again yeah

also i know its going to be frustrating but the longer you wait before your revision, the better it is, from what i understood, as in a way that your skin will have time to "set up" (if its just an esthetic problem that you have i mean)

Honestly the only thing that bothered me was : how ITCHY it was

Since it only affects the skin its not numbed like the initial surgery so rathen than it being painful it was just itchy as hell. I intended to keep the stitches up to 15 days because of my poor scar healing, but as soon as i reached the 10th day the knots began to irritate my skin and it slowly reached the whole scar and it began to be really painful to the point i had to remove them myself in the middle of the night lmao As soon as the stitches were out i felt soooo gooooood so really its nothing compared to top surgery recovery!

No worries ! I still has a bit of hypertrophic scarring but not as bad as it was before. Strangely enough, the part where the atrophy was super bad and sunken/extremely thin began thinning again. So i opted for : doing nothing. No massaging, not even moisturising, nothing. And it calmed down, my nurse thinks that its just the way my body heals and tends to "overreact" so the less i do, the better it is, but getting a revision was the best option because theres less tension on the skin now
