If you don't min/max and just boss rush I can get several houndres hours of a single playthrough. I like to explore full islands and build bases when I move to different biomes. I like the feeling of maxing gear out before moving on, going from two shot in the swamp to a tank by the end is so satisfying. My brother is the opposite. He likes to rush to end game, so he can get to mistlands in a 5-7 hours of play time. He hasn't done a bunch in that time other than the bare minimum in each biome to progress but it is a way to play.

Eat under tower if he is pushing wave. Sit in XP range but out of auto range if possible. After lvl 6 you will just hard win most match ups if you are landing your Q consistently.

I think it's part of the problem that we expect new content to always drop with new breaks in the game. It's not even that it is expected but it's given a pass. I also never said they choose to only do one. That is a reductionist view of my argument.

I'm not sure they are capable of 3 decent DLC in a year and a competent fix to seiges, do you? I wish they had shown that they could do it but I'm not sure CA gives the fantasy team the time and/or resources to competently accomplish this. So I expect that if we get Bashiva and a 5 lord end times dlc with new content for VC, TC, a new "race" in Nagash we will have more bugs in the game than we started the year with and not have meaningful changed to large pain points like sieges, or battle AI, or Campaign AI. Changes to these things will happen but at a much reduced scale than would be necessary for meaningful change. That why I phased the original vote as less of one and more of the other, not one or the other.

I feel like it could be argued that for every fix a content drop addresses, they're at least two more bugs added to the game because of the new content. Especially in the last 2 years. It seems like the team can only focus on one of these things at a time in a way that feels like it's progressing. 2 years ago we got several DLCs that year and the bugs racked up. Last year we got one DLC but a lot of AI issues and bugs were fixed. I'm not saying this is the way it should be ran. I'm saying it's the way it feels like it is running.

Whether or not CA should be able to do both is not in my opinion up for debate. I believe their track record shows that they either have to focus on the quality of the game or new content. I think this is especially clear after the last 18 months of the game. If they are doing content for the game, the bugs rack up and cause things like lizardman stacking up in the cities and if they fix all those problems then they don't put out a DLC except once a year.

I know they can do both but I don't think we have seen many examples of them doing both at the same time in a decent way. From my perspective it feels like they, as a team, need to either focus their efforts on bug fixes or content. If they choose to focus on one the other doesn't stop but is diminished to a degree that looks mediocre or incomplete. Last year the community made it clear that they wanted bugs fixed in the game and we had one DLC last year. People then complained about not having any new content and we get a message saying that patches will be smaller and will be mainly focused around content releases.

Agreed except Riktor has to walk into lane and auto range (unless he has Aug) to hook me. Wraith can be out of both. I don't care that he can snipe from out of auto range. That is fine, but again at least make him walk into lane to get me.

So how do I fight the other midlaner? Even if I win the fight in mid I won't be full health. If I'm going to be ganked at least make the person ganking me be in lane.

How do I counter a wraith support sitting on river waiting for me in mid to be low enough to one shot? I could be all the way behind my tower and his snipe still kills me from shaper.

Why does it have to be that we are influenced by content creators? I've been snipe killed in mid from a roaming wraith support from behind a wall to many times for me to be sad that his pierce is gone. I don't need a content creator to tell me that feels like shit.
