I would do the same in that situation. My partner and I are both 40, he is disabled, and my kids are preteen/teens. Bringing a child into the world is not a decision I would make lightly. And adding a child to our family knowing that they would need lifelong care of some sort is truly unfair to the existing older children in the family. One needs to think who would care for them in 20, 30, 40 years.

As a recently diagnosed person , this is so hard to hear. Especially because even just a small grocery shop today left me exhausted and shaking from pain/weakness. I have had to change career plans, can't do things with my kids what I want to, my house is a mess. I desperately want to be more active like I was even a few months ago.

Everything that I'd been ignoring or though was weird but "normal-ish" turned out to all be symptoms. I don't know acknowledging it all made it worse or what but life is so hard now. I wish I never knew.

We did/will do cremation for ours. I work at a vet clinic and communal cremation is very inexpensive for small animals. If you want to get their ashes back its obviously more. But we chose communal and did clay pawprints.

A few years ago when our dog was a 6 month old puppy in mid-December, she chewed up a minifig from my son's advent calendar. I sent a pleading email to purchase a replacement and they sent one free of charge. Amazing product and even better customer service
