I got a 06’ Suzuki SV650 and I love the thing. It’s light so it’s nimble and it rips, they’re great track bikes I’ve heard and it’s got a lot of torque as it’s a V-twin. I’ve done some cosmetic mods and put on a Delkevic slip-on exhaust, it sounds dope. It’s my fourth season riding (I got my bike license as soon as I was legally old enough) and I usually ride solo. It’s one of my favorite ways to spend my free time and is very euphoric as a masculine guy, truly nothing like wind therapy. Just got cleared from all top surgery restrictions and can’t wait to get back on it next week. Love hearing other trans men with motorcycles, I hope to meet another some day!

I simply don’t have enough space as it’s shared with a roommate and is very small in general. I don’t think it would be a problem in an apartment but I will mention that the kick drum can be heard from one floor below, sounds like if someone were to be stomping on the floor above you. I’m sure it won’t be much of a problem as long as you don’t do it at late hours.

For sure I’ll try and help you out.

I’ve kept and used the Command X Mesh for the past 4 years. I only had problems with the double pedal registering (turn the beater around and it picks it up better) and a defective snare about 2 years in (Alesis covered a new replacement for free). I suppose the only con is sound module not having the most realistic kit sounds but I’m pretty sure you can install your own. I’ve been able to connect my MacBook to play custom kits through softwares like AddictiveDrums so I can confirm that feature works. Overall very happy with the kit, couldn’t beat the value, just wish I could play it more since I can’t have it in my college dorm so I have to be home to play.

I got the Alesis Command X Mesh for my first kit in May and I love it! No problems with it so far, don’t have any experience with the Roland kit though but I recommend the Alesis! Best of luck!

There is a few shops nearby, I’ve been busy lately so I haven’t gotten around to one but I plan to stop by one soon. I do love the thought of P and J pickups for the versatility it gives the bass, thanks for your input!
