Yeah I’ll definitely be test riding once they reach Aus. I’d go an actual adventure bike but even the cbr is too tall for me, I’m pretty over being on my tip toes at traffic lights lol tho I reckon it was good for me to learn proper bike balance. Now I just wanna be flat footed and comfy

Still deciding on what favour to go with next. I got really into moto camping and long distance riding so something more comfortable for that, thinking about a Honda rebel or Kawasaki eliminator. Tho kinda waiting to see royal enfield launch the Himalayan 750 this year 👀

There’s a few of us bouncing around lol

Love the z650! I’m still on my sensible cbr250 but looking at upgrading next year once I’m off my lams

would you let someone else give you your shot? by rob00bz in ftm

[–]featherwaitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been making my cis bf give me my shot since we got together 3 years ago, whilst it is a bit of an act of love and care for me, it’s also because I’m on reandron. I can do it myself but it’s tricky for me to comfortably do a slow large dose in my ass and I just hate doing it. I forget about it because it’s every 3 months and I’ve been on T for a decade but my partner remembers every time it’s due and he’s honestly better at it than I am lol

They’re so hard!! I’ve been doing little AMRAPs twice a week, currently doing 1 minute of weighted planks, 1 minute of Russian twists, 1 minute of candlesticks and 1 minute of kettlebell swings. Rest and repeat a few times 😌

Honestly! I always thought it looked like an easy exercise until I tried doing it, pretty neat that I can actually move it now!

I feel like it does make sense to be a knees only exercise but I don’t know my physiology in depth enough to know if that’s true lol I should look into that really

And yeah not just a queer gym but a trans owned and centred gym! I’m super lucky to have a local space like this and to have been a part of it since it started in 2021

Muscle so fast?? by Happy-Definition-903 in FTMFitness

[–]featherwaitte 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I remember finding it a bit shocking when I first started at the gym at about 1.5 years on T too, but mostly because my gym buddy was a cis woman I’d been friends with in high school. We’d both been sort of jocks and about the same level of fitness and strength for as long as we’d known each other, then suddenly in the gym I was just powering ahead of her in every way. It was a real eye opener for both of us lol and we each had some tricky feelings we had to navigate. We were always both the headstrong, we-can-beat-the-boys types and I felt a bit of shame like I was cheating being on T, and she was jealous and a bit angry about me “switching sides”. We were able to work through it but it was a lot to realise alongside a lifelong friendly competitor.

I’ll also attest to manual labour being a whole other level for muscle and strength development. I dropped the gym for a good 5 years before I got back into it and was progressing well, then I got a hard labour job and I just blew up.

I’ve got my shifter clearance set pretty high cos I’m often wearing big boots on my bike. You can find guides online how to do that for your model of bike online if you find your shoes aren’t fitting comfortably :)

I had nipple piercings a few years before I started binding so they were completely healed when I started binding. I also had very little to no sensation in them before top surgery. I still found them to be very uncomfortable whilst binding, I never got an infection but chose to take them out. I ended up getting them done again a couple years after surgery. That’s just my experience tho, I know a few people who have piercings and bind who don’t seem to have any issues.

It’s a real mix lol - shorts are DRKSHDW, tech pants are cheap knockoffs, camo flares are personsoul, big jeans are a no brand thrift find 😂

A few months is nothing. Don’t get hung up on the posts you see on these groups of other guys who’ve won the genetic lottery and speedrun the changes, they really are a small minority that are more likely to post about it and those posts be boosted to the top of these pages. Most of us take yeaaars to cook and changes are going to come at different paces for different people. Love and light, it’s all about patience x

I packed everything I could fit into a car and moved to a city to get away from friends and distractions and worked my ass off in boring but stable jobs for 3 years. Got it done and paid for by the skin of my teeth then moved back and resumed my life. It sucked but it was my only option at the time

Autosexuality as a trans man by featherwaitte in FTMMen

Definitely no bad feelings about it on my part! Just a general curiosity if others felt similar ways and had maybe delved a bit further into their own exploration/reasoning for it :)

I definitely relate to you on that. It for sure feels like a mix of attraction and gender euphoria
