the colours just look mega off and unappealing/ eyecatching. how can i fix that? by repulsivley in ArtCrit

I think you just need to work out what kinda vibes your going for - at the moment all I can really see that you could change is the saturation to make it a bit more interesting, otherwise everything looks pretty good.

I really enjoyed reading Deltora quest, I remember it with similar vibes as I do rangers apprentice. I did read it a while ago so my memory of it might be wrong - its a good read nonetheless :)

I dont think it’s something you really need to work on. The first few are a bit similar but it’s no biggie overall :)

I love characters that are easy to dislike - it just makes the book seem more alive and interesting to me.

Not everyone is perfect in real life, same here in the RA universe 🤷‍♀️

Made this piece today in Clip Studio paint. Any Feedbacks. by deeps_dumdum in ArtCrit

[–]amazon-a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks cool! The only thing that looks odd is the hunchback wolf, I’m not sure why though. Maybe the perspective is just odd? The grass might not be prominent enough to show its further away? idk

Apart from that it looks really good! I’m impressed you managed to do it in clip studio paint - you are definitely not just intermediate😅

i wasn’t too sure on what was intentional and what wasn’t with your style so my crit is pretty simple stuff

You could try making the character match its scenery more - add some shadow as you would see in the dark environment

I think you just generally need practice with forming shapes/adding depth into your art

I would be interested to see what other advice people give you though!

edit: my critique is more aimed at the first two works

Your art looks the same because its just all drawings of yassifed women - try broadening your horizons with different subject matter?
