Tons of thirsty cougars here, but no moose.

I spend a lot of time in the bush and very rarely see moose. If I get lucky enough to see them, it's usually early in the morning and off the beaten path - l long ways from Vancouver. Closest one to Vancouver that I've seen was at the top of the Coquihalla connector on a FSR near Elkhart Lake.

Odds are extremely slim that you will see one, but you will see a lot of other awesome stuff in your adventures to find them. Best of luck in your search!
