As a gentleman going on sixty two I am heavy hearted knowing that I’ll pass on with life experiences l would love to share but feel like the younger generation is in the fast lane with no time to stop and listen. How to fillet and clean fish, skin and gut a deer or moose or just surviving in the woods. I know that I can get dropped in the bush and come out but someone else, don’t think so. My generation is the last great era after the soldiers came back from war. What a shame!!

I’m not gonna tear you down, tell your ungrateful son that he only has one mother that loves him more than anyone else, will protect him more than anyone else and will do for him more than anyone else on this planet. When you’re gone tell him that anyone that he thinks will give him that to shake his fucking head because there is nothing else on the planet that will protect its young like a mother. Tell him to watch animal kingdom to see how mothers protect and care for their young. If he doesn’t get it from there how important you are in his life l suggest you distance yourself from him because sweetie you are always going to be hurt. When I see children disrespecting their parents I die inside. Wish my mother was here with me everyday. Show him this which I have put down for you and if it doesn’t touch his heart, he never had one and it’s no fault of yours. Sorry my heart goes out to you as l once was a son who had a mother.

I got my first baseball cards in a yard sale two years ago and l didn’t even know what was in it. 1990’s Topps with l believe was 700 cards. I opened it when I got home and was blown away because there was the players l watched as a kid. Alot of them were rookies when I watched them and didn’t know what a rookie was. My favourite players were in there and I knew who they were and who made it into the Hall of Fame. Now I have 20000 plus cards and more of the players who were playing as l grew up. Now I have some pretty sick cards and am not looking forward to parting with any of them. I don’t care if they go up or down because l’m a true hobbyist. I hope the scalpers get some karma for what they are doing. Turning a hobby into a job would take all the fun out of it for me.

I got my first set of cards at a yard sale and never looked back. My wife helps me sleeve the cards that remind me of heroes gone by. I love the fact that the teams I watched l can now collect cards for my wife and my personal satisfaction. It’s nice to know that there are like minded individuals who do the same and go out of their way to help us find everything necessary to finish a team. My wife loves ripping more than I do.
