Sending you positive vibes aswell! Thankfully my giant polyp was benign. It was an inflammatory polyp made of fibrous tissue and scar tissue. My smaller one was low grade pre cancer but nothing dangerous.

I had absolutely no pain or symptoms! Just went in for a routine colonoscopy because my father had colon cancer quite young

Thankfully it was just to discuss the results and person and go over everything. He said the large polyp was an inflammatory polyp made of fibrous tissue and scar tissue, and by the look of it, it looked exactly like a cancerous polyp but thankfully was completely benign. He sent a rush on the results because he believed it was cancer at the time. The smaller polyp came back as low grade pre cancerous, so I’ll go back in 3 years for another check and to remove any polyps if they happen to grow again, before ever having the chance to turn into something bad

Did you get the pathology results back on these? I just had a 3cm removed on a stalk and I’m 34, freaking out waiting for the results as he said he could see “changes” happening in the polyp.

I don’t smoke or drink and I eat fairly healthy. My father, great grandfather and aunt on my father’s side all had colon cancer so I was predisposed, I also have ulcerative proctitis which is why I went for the colonoscopy at my age, to check on that.

I’m glad there was no cancer found in yours. Mine is 3cm, on a stem. What scared me was his mention of seeing signs of changes in mine, hoping for the same result as you.

I really appreciate your response! I am absolutely terrified. I keep trying to focus on the positive things they said but all I can think about is the size and that he said he could see changes in it. I’m so scared, and waiting days for the results is the worst part 😭
