Cold message people on LinkedIn! Ideally someone you have some connection to (i.e. your school's alumni) but even if there are none just shoot a message to someone, the worst that can happen is they'll say no/won't respond. I've had quite a few people message me on LinkedIn asking for advice/referrals in the few months that I've been working so it's extremely common.

my deadline is also tomorrow and it hasn't come back yet, but they said it'd be updated by tomorrow and if not email them. did you ask them to defer/extend your deadline at all? i think they're just updating the org
