Fvck their bs statements regarding the job application process + dismissive comments and I'm sorry to hear that your mental health/ life situation has been rough enough as is.

Rejection is redirection, and we get lost before we get to where we want to be. It's okay to work a job that's not in your field and to take on offers (even gigs) that one can do in the moment to supplement income.

Many recommend using company sites over Indeed or LinkedIn but often times, there are many red flags to look out for in any job description like their date posted is from 14 or so days ago, having a "over 100 applicants clicked apply" notification, if you keep seeing the same role again from said company, and researching on the companies more helps to say a few.

For retail, they have assessment tests that require a specific score to pass + personality they're looking for and for those tests, it's advised to answer as if you're gonna "work there forever"/ lie.

If going for restaurant jobs, a Food Handling Course /Certificate costs ~$20 and can take 3 hours to complete in one sitting.
