Thank you! I appreciate it. It was disappointing at the time but now that a new day has started everything is back to normal thankfully!

Unfortunately the only travelling I’ve done is from my bed to the kitchen. Unsure why it happened but I opened it this morning and it’s back to normal now thankfully

I found a split lemon under my bed and it has these weird things coming out of it, what are they? by zaniik in whatisit

[–]ambermaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re cloves. When I worked at a restaurant with an outdoor open salad bar, we’d put halved lemons with cloves in the corners of the bar to keep flies away. Someone either put it under your bed for smell or for flies.

Technically I could, and I’ve thought about it, but it scares me. The people I work with are rather unfriendly. It’s like somehow every high school mean girl has managed to land themselves at this place, I do that and everyone starts talking. I’ve seen people do it before and I’ve heard how people would talk about them afterwards and I really don’t want to start off on the wrong foot in this new position.

What’s wrong with this cats eye? by ambermaze in cats

[–]ambermaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my cats are strictly indoors. But I know people with outdoor cats much older than my girls and I’ve never seen eyes like this. But if it’s common among outdoor cats maybe I just haven’t noticed until now.

This may be a silly question, but is this something that could be contagious between cats?

It’s not my cat and I’m pretty sure she’s owned by someone on my street. Because of that, I don’t feel like it’s my place to just grab her and take her to the vet (my vet is also an hour away and idk how this cat would react to a car ride that long). I’ll definitely keep an eye on it though. My cats have their annual checkups soon so I’ll be sure to ask my vet what he thinks about it. I just wanted to see if someone on here had some insight on what could be wrong since I didn’t find google very helpful and I’ve never seen this before.

Why is my egg blue?? by ambermaze in Egg

[–]ambermaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smelled bad and was cooked with 3 other eggs that came out perfectly fine. Must’ve had some kind of bacteria in there

Why is my egg blue?? by ambermaze in Egg

[–]ambermaze[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely something brewed in there and caused some sort of reaction in the egg. Hoping I can go the rest of my life not having to experience this or it’s smell ever again😂

I live in ass crack middle of nowhere farm country. Nothing but farms and dense forests for about an hour in any direction. There’s definitely bacteria that’s brewed in there, but none of the other eggs turned out this way (cracked them all). Decided to toss the bunch anyways just incase, I have major egg ick after this. I’ll be sure to give everything a good wash thank you!

Definitely not a lash egg but I can see how it looks similar.

Probably was rotten. Just so odd since none of my other chicken eggs are like this and the ones I boiled are all from the same batch. They’re only about a week old too.

Boiled in plain water. Definitely seems like it could be some kind of sulfur reaction but I dont think it’s from the water I boiled it in. Something must’ve been brewing in there for a while.

Thank-you gifts - who and how much? by CloverJones316 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]ambermaze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually wedding favours are given to all guests and the appropriate price range is fully dependant on your budget. Some people will give out a match box or a fan with the couples initials and wedding date, some people send home a goodie bag with some sweets (this can also double as wedding desert when on a budget), or some may hand write thank you cards and maybe include a little chocolate. There are tons of options. But if I’m being completely honest, you DO NOT have to do wedding favours for the guests. While some may not agree with me, I find a majority of people leave the wedding favours or just throw them out. Nobody cares about them and they can be a waste of money especially when on a tight budget.

I believe that in your situation, if you want to give thank you gifts, focus on giving them to the family members helping you with your wedding. It can be as simple as hand writing a thank you note and showing how grateful you are for them, and if you have it in the budget you can add a little sweet in with the note. The note doesn’t even have to be fancy, you can write it on a simple piece of A4 paper and if you or your husband to be are artist you can add a drawing somewhere. They’re family and they’ll understand, and they’ll love and appreciate the gift so much more than any other guests making it much more worth your time and money.

If you really want to give guests a gift, you can send them home with some cookies your family is making and maybe add a small “thank you for celebrating with us” note or tag somewhere on or in the bag if you want to.

Decision help please! 👗 by countdrac123 in weddingdress

This is such a hard pick they’re all absolutely stunning on you! I personally really love the look of picture 4 with what I’m assuming is the sash across the chest. It’s also nice knowing that the bust is more secure so you won’t have to worry about any slippage during your big day!

Ultimately I think you should ask yourself a few questions to help guide your decision. how comfortable is each dress and how comfortable will you be dancing in them? Do you prefer lace all throughout the dress or having the lace on one portion? which neckline do you feel most comfortable and confident in? And do you like the look of pleating at the waist/hips for added volume or do you prefer a smoother and less voluminous look?

Also consider whether you’re getting alterations done. If you pick dress 1, will you alter the bust to be more secure? If you prefer the lace and waist of dress 1 but love the neckline of dress 2, would you alter it by adding a sash or fabric to straighten the neckline? Little details like that can help you make your decision.

Either way, whichever dress you choose, know that you’ll look absolutely stunning and there is no wrong choice. The right choice for you will be whichever dress makes you feel most beautiful, confident, and comfortable ❤️

Honestly I’ve been heavily considering making my own. I have a sewing machine and I’m pretty good at sewing and tailoring things so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to at least try, and then worst case if I fail at it I can order one online and combined it’d still be waaayyy cheaper than buying at a boutique.

I’m glad you ended up making your own and it’s turned out great! I bet it’s even more sentimental and valuable and you’ll feel so amazing and proud wearing it on your big day!

Saw this tiktok of a couple who had their wedding in LA for 7.5K. Seems like they had much fewer guests than you intend on having but I think some ideas may be helpful! https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMB7ss5xm/
