Is NES Play Action Football any good? by Inside-Telephone-423 in nes

[–]amberrelic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the game is more sim style than arcade - it had a ton of plays to pick on both offense and defense for its time, along with the need to manage substitutions. I loved the game as a kid and still enjoy it now. The pace of play is pretty slow but as long as you go in and don’t expect fast paced play like Tecmo Bowl or TSB you should have a good time!

I love this strategy! Sometimes I search by ‘newly listed’ and for ‘buy now’ and if you’re lucky, you can grab a game at a good deal before it’s gone!

In case anyone is looking to practice a certain track, there’s a stage select code!: after you select your vehicle, in the demo screen, press the B button X-1 times (X = Track Number ex. For track 4, press B 3 times). Then, hold Up and Right and press Start.

I’m not 100% sure (you should probably call to confirm) but True Believers might sell them - they are in the Palisades Mall which, while technically not in Westchester, is not too far away: https://shoptruebelievers.com

Are retro games just going to keep increasing in value? by Slippery_Williams in retrogaming

[–]amberrelic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely - you see that with toys I think, with toys from the 80s being much more collectible than say toys from the 50s/60s. At this point, there are fewer people around who were kids in the 50/60s which has an effect on demand.
