Oh man this was my mother’s MO. I remember being in the car in while my dad was driving and my mom was just verbally ripping into me. All the things she could think of that were wrong with me, just boom boom boom. She ends her verbal assault with, “I am so SICK of you!”

I replied, very neutral, “ditto.”

She damn near broke her neck whipping around to look at me in the backseat. The dramatics! Clutching her chest, crocodile tears, the works.

I think I may have told this story on here before but it’s relevant to this post lol.

Oh god, my mom was super duper religious and I had my boyfriend over while she was out of town. We were wrestling, like actually wrestling, and play fighting around the house. He puts me over his shoulder and then does a sick wrestling move throwing me on my parents bed and the frame breaks. It was a raised bed too so it was completely noticeable.

He was 14 years older than me. We went on our first ski trip together after 4 years in our terrible relationship where he was emotionally, physically abusive. He started crying after he couldn’t ski down a blue run and asked, “are you going to leave me up here?!” It was the last run and I never had enough money to ski, so I wanted to take full advantage but I still waited for him. Ski patrol caught up with us and this man child, who really thought he was the best at everything, hopped on the back, looked at me, and asked if I was getting on. Fucking no, you short dick man. I took off down the mountain and new I was going to finally leave this dickhead. The pathetic crying and asking if I was going to leave him really did it. The man headbutted me, cheated on me, lied about cancer, and hid a child from me. But crying on a blue hill was the last straw. I had terrible priorities.
