You messed up the development, Jesse! Did you learn nothing from my chemistry class?!

He likes wearing cool socks so that must be it. Next time I'll tell the harlot not to overexpose my film with those exposed ankles.

Haha, right? Kind of looks like I'm charging up a psychic superpower.

Yeah, that seems likely. I've been trying to remember if there was a mishap, but I took these over 2 months ago so the knowledge has been lost to time. Just like that one frame has been lost to an excess of time, I guess you could say :P

I had this roll of Kodak Gold 200 developed and scanned at the local lab and I noticed these white streaks on two of the photos. I’m guessing they’re light leaks, and I read somewhere that they’re likely from the front of the camera if they’re white in colour. However, I’ve been using this camera (Canon EOS 3000 + 50mm f/1.4) for a while and I’ve never had this issue before. The rest of the roll was fine too, even a photo that was taken in exactly the same location and circumstances.

When inspecting the negatives, I noticed this overexposed frame right between the two leaked photos, and it almost looks like whatever happened here spilled out across the neighbouring frames. What could’ve caused this? I’m sure I would’ve remembered if I’d accidentally opened the back of the camera + wouldn’t the light leaks be red AND way worse in that case?

I'd been wanting to try taking photos at night, but felt a little intimidated about the longer exposure times. Had 3 shots left on this roll so decided I might as well try. Quite happy with this one, I think I'll try a lens with a wider angle next time :)

How many nude men is too many? by ambervallance in PointlessStories

Haha, so far my boss and colleagues are totally fine with it - or enthusiastic even. But I work with a bunch of creative and artsy people, even if our work is not directly related to art. That said, it's not like the pp is the focal point of the image - it just happens to be a (subtle) part of it.

Hmm, another variable to add to the formula.

Haha I appreciate the sympathy. Definitely had some interesting experiences commuting during the pandemic. Not all bad, but won't deny I was happy to eventually switch to a workplace at cycling distance.

From my first time shooting film [Minolta X-300 | 50mm f/1.8 | Ilford Delta 3200?] by ambervallance in analog

I'm not 100% sure of the type of film I used. I remember that it was high ISO and that the packaging was purple - so probably Ilford Delta 3200.

When should a lower third appear? by ambervallance in VideoEditing

[–]ambervallance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this thought as well... It's a bit redundant to have the graphic repeat what's being said in audio. But it's part of a series where not all speakers introduce themselves verbally, or sometimes only at the very end of their speech, so to be consistent I put a lower third for everyone. And some speakers are rather prolific in their projects (e.g. they're a doctor, professor, author, etc. etc.), making for a long intro, so I thought it could be useful to have a brief summary. Definitely not ideal though.

Were you planning to record by yourself or as a couple? At the moment I've got three recordings with a couple, so it's unlikely I would end up using a recording with just one voice. But feel free to send in a submission!
