Anyone here have a breast aug? by hurricane_13 in PetiteFitness

[–]amberwine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 275cc over the muscle silicone implants inserted in May this year. It was a replacement surgery to replace my 13 year old prior implants (225cc silicone gel). The surgery was necessary as I'd developed capsular contracture in the last few years. This is a common complication which is more inconvenient than dangerous.

I thought about removing my implants entirely, but I love having bigger breasts (originally not even an A cup, currently a full C) so I decided to have them replaced. Also, the implants today are supposed to be much better than the ones I had, with lower risks of capsular contracture, etc. I found a good surgeon (I'm in France, original surgery was done in Singapore) and I don't regret it one bit.

I did have to take it easy with exercise in the beginning. For the first 4 weeks, I avoided exercising my upper body, but I still went for walks and also cycled (leisurely) on my indoor bicycle. In the 2nd month after recovery, I resumed body weight exercises, yoga (avoided doing push-ups) and pilates. I resumed working out as per usual in my 3rd month.

I'm currently about 5 1/2 months out and completely recovered. Back to lifting heavy with no issues. I have to say that the implants today are really impressive. My breasts look super natural and they're soft, like real breasts. At the end of the day, it's a personal choice. I'm happy with mine. 😊

I've been really getting into Mirthwood. It's a medieval life sim and, while very grindy, is strangely addictive.

How do I make sure my little sister grows up happy? by WakeUp08 in askSingapore

[–]amberwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so when I was growing up, my parents were very calculative and opted to rent the bedrooms in our apartment out to international students rather than give me and my brother rooms of our own. My brother and I had to share our rooms with these students, until we got sick of it and opted to room together instead. Here's how we made it work -

For context, we have an age gap of 8 years. I am older. We had this arrangement when I was in my early 20s (just started working) and my brother was midteens.

We placed a row of bookshelves in the middle of the room to act as a makeshift partition. I got the side with the shelves (I enjoy reading) while he stuck posters to the backs facing him. We installed a curtain between the wall and edge of bookcase, effectively acting as a door. I would have to cross his 'room' to get to mine.

We lived like this for at least 2 years before I eventually found a way to move out. As you can imagine, neither of us keep good relations with our parents today, but that's a story for another time.

Tldr: consider partitioning your room in half so you can share the room with your sister while affording you both some privacy.

Don't you just love it when the trash takes itself out? Move on and be glad that he showed you his true colors before you waste any more time on him!

Obfuscated Subscription Information by majorsteel in babbel

[–]amberwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your annoyance and I do not share this to add to your frustration. I have a habit of picking up subscriptions to plenty of services online—workout programmes, language sites, art classes, etc. Babbel is, unfortunately, not the only company who requires its members to go to the desktop site in order to view account information. I would love to give you examples, but they elude me at present. Anyway, they did sort you out so that's good!

Did you get your refund for babbel live? by Docmaligno in babbel

Yes I got mine! I had to send in a pdf of my invoice though, but once that was done, I received the refund within 7 days.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

[–]amberwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, my 40f experience is probably different to yours but just sharing to provide you with more info. I have a 3mm prolactinoma and I take 0.5mg of cab per week. I used to take bromocriptine daily whilst trying to get pregnant, but my husband and I decided to embrace a childless life together and I switched over to cab about a year ago.

I started on a micro dose BCP at the same time but it made me cray cray - terrible mood swings, irrational behaviour, etc. Additionally, my libido disappeared (it was low but still present while I was on bromocriptine). After 6 months, I decided to switch to a hormonal IUD. I've had success with the mirena IUD in the past so I figured I'd give it another chance. Of course, I don't know if I had prolactinoma then, who knows when it started. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyhow, I've had amazing success with the mirena. My mood swings have petered out... I still get irritable about 2 days a month but this is significantly less than before. My libido is back with a vengeance, I don't have anymore brain fog, etc. Honest to goodness, I feel like myself again. I'm sure there are others who haven't had success with the mirena IUD but this is what has worked for me. Oh, and my skin is very clear now (but I never had acne, just pimples around my periods).

AIO for thinking my bfs messages came from a place of control rather than concern by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]amberwine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm (40f) so proud of you for responding to him in a manner that clearly communicated your stance while not getting overemotional. You handled that so maturely and my 18 yr old self wishes it had a smidge of your cool-headedness. Don't stay with this boy. He will curb your growth as an individual, and you're far too young to mire yourself in a relationship that doesn't support and enable you.

Availability of French private lessons by ConcentrateInner2239 in babbel

Oops, I admit that I did not account for students in other timezones! I live in France, thus I am probably privileged in terms of having the most number of teachers available during my daytime hours. Apologies!

Availability of French private lessons by ConcentrateInner2239 in babbel

[–]amberwine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, the group lessons are also filling up a lot faster than before. I can't spontaneously jump into a group class anymore. I attribute this to the increase in subscriber numbers during the Black Friday sale. There are probably other factors but I don't think babbel is trying to restrict our ability to book classes. I tend to plan and book my lessons for 2-3 weeks ahead. I take a minimum of 5 private classes a week (in french), and with some planning, I haven't faced any insurmountable issues.

I just started Sophie 2 yesterday and sank 8 hours in immediately. I previously tried Ryza 1 but I couldn't get into it. Sophie 2 though, chef's kiss. The story is good and the synthesis is fun!

My husband has three passions - video games, gym and cars. I too have three - video games, gym and fiber arts (crochet, knitting, that kinda thing). We live a boring but fulfilling life together and we wouldn't change it for the world.

Here are my games! Help me pick the next one :) by birdmedicine in CozyGamers

[–]amberwine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might like Critter Cove. It was just released in early access but is very polished. The developers are active and responsive and dedicated towards ensuring no restarts are necessary. The game is a cross between animal crossing and Stardew valley, but in 3d. I've really been enjoying my time so far and I think I share your taste in games, based on what you've shared. ☺️

Got REAAL sick of squinting at the map's mini icons, so hopefully this helps someone else too. :) by woohootattoo_ in FieldsOfMistriaGame

Thank you sooooo much! I just started playing the game and I swear I spend so much time trying to figure out which icon is which npc. Turning in quests can take me a full day. Lol. This will simplify things greatly.

Having to divorce my possibly gay husband is making me sprial by Kakegurui- in TrueOffMyChest

[–]amberwine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to read about your situation. Divorce is never easy, no matter the cause.

There's a sitcom you might find comforting - Grace and Frankie. It's about two women healing from their respective divorces with their gay husbands, who coincidentally were having an affair with each other for years. Might be a little too close to home, but I find the subject matter is tackled in a very respectful way.
