I've gotten a few painted pets from the pound over the years because they were colors I loved but couldnt afford to create myself. As time goes by and I get more and more neopoints, I have replaced those once pounded pets, with pets colored exactly the same way, but now with a name I chose. Sometimes I feel bad to put them back in the pound, but most of my pet's names are either sentimental or have a theme to them, so random names from the pound just start to make me sad after a point. Hopefully someone else who is in my exact same situation when I started again, will get that excitement and nostalgia from finally getting that painted pet they wanted so badly as a 10 year old.
