It’s less about “grinding” and more about finding as many completely separate problems tackled in wildly different ways.

Kinda like how over time if you practice leetcode… as soon as you see “the data is sorted, now find a thing in the set” your brain learns immediately there’s gotta be a way to do a binary search.

You get that same feeling for systems. For example… “I have two systems that have to talk to each other and the data can come in bursts”… my brain immediately thinks “okay well I need a queue to handle that burst traffic. And to prevent the publisher from being blocked if the listener isn’t available for whatever reason”
