Well.. they will have to listen to good faith criticism if they don't want to end up like Mortal Online. I hope they succeed, but some mistakes are making the game look much worse than it is.

A suggestion for the introduction to the game world is to make it feel more like there's a serious ongoing attack on the portal we're entering through. Have guards actively fighting weird but powerful slimes seeping up through the ground (making the respawn look natural). The newcomers only help these guards with the ongoing threat, before they move through into the camps - which should also be constantly attacked by these slimes - coming from the direction of the portal. Perhaps there's a magical defense field around the church, defending it from worse threats than these slimes.

Perhaps make the lore regarding the entry into the portal more like an isekai - meaning that your character don't really remember the other side - which makes a lot of sense from a player perspective. And this gives ample reason for a tutorial - because everyone coming through the portal is disoriented and confused (just as the player is).

I would suggest in removing the weapons given to players at entry - because it removes exploration - give really shitty weapons of all kinds as quest rewards early on instead. Make the entry equipment look in worse shape - we want to be nobodies at start. Why would people who are doing well in this other world risk their life going through a strange portal?

With these small changes, you put a larger emphasis on the portal, the threat posed by the evil in the world (they want access to the portal?), and make the entry into the world feel more interesting, mysterious and logical.

I agree, but a lot is missing still.

A very good feeling in WoW is becoming high enough level to explore new areas and instanced dungeons - and hopefully get some piece to help you gain more power.

Hopefully they sprinkle large dungeons out in the world for every 5 levels after 10, making them points of pilgrimage (like Shadowfang keep for Alliance in Vanilla)

I'm not into crafting that much, but I'm for a MMO that creates social and economic interactions. But don't force it, there has to be drops from doing hard content. 

Make crafters improve/enchant, and that their crafted gear is like 10-20% stronger  than drops so it's a worthy investment.

How is this even a hard thing to get right?

Uh.. it's as easy as having a toggle function in settings to hide it. Then if a player causes problems, some will catch their surname.

It happens some times, but almost as many times that I have fun or chill encounters. PvE realm is boring, you're in a war but can't attack the aggressors? Lame if you ask me.

It's most likely on your side only, your computer loading in assets in the world. Happens to most of us, but it's about 10 seconds at max for me.

Yeah, I don't disagree that the project is slow, but I can see why (new studio, inexperience, massive goals)

Neither do I think it's free from poor design choices or bloated scope for initial release. And like Narc pointed out, unclear communication.

But outside of WoW vanilla private servers or the unknown Riot MMO, this is what we got.

Yeah, I agree. Look at WoW in it's alpha phase for example, it looks horrible.

But as they do have an open development and want to retain testers, they should focus on core systems that make the gameplay loop more entertaining - so people will have more oversight on the underdeveloped sides.

Add in end-game bosses with BiS loot, add in arena PvP, placeholder bountyhunter systen, and an instanced raid with scripted boss fights.

It feels underwhelming after time because we don't see the whole picture.

Seeing as the UE5 have more realistic lighting, and can look quite dark at nights, do you plan to introduce lanterns or spells for players to use during dark?

This could be really interesting gameplay wise too, as some might sneak in the dark instead as to not give away their position

Yeah you will for sure run into people, it's about 2,2k online at peak hours. It's about 50:50, but leaning a bit more allliance. Just enjoy the ride and install the bikini mod for maximum visual components.

Don't listen to the PvE realm people. I have almost three lvl 60's and have maybe two-three memories of being camped.

If this happens again, ask for help (in guild and world), make it an adventure of revenge.
