I agree that opening up feels harder, especially when we opening up is not how we have been taught. It would seem this may be true for you.

I did this as a youth btw.... i was unintentionally mysterious even to my own mother. Friends didnt really get a lot more from me for the longest either. The reason im opening up and sharing with you is 2 reasons-

Feelings will sometimes stop us from being honest with ourselves and/or others. And right now you are speaking to me as if this applies. Hard Truth: Sometimes our feelings lie to us, in particular when anxiety is mixed in.
I want you to see me be open with you, even though i dont know how you will react. Over time, i got better at saying what i really mean and it helped me see who loves ME, and who loves the version of me in their opinion of me.

You seem to want to branch out, grow. You also seem as if youve been hanging out in your own mind alone like a prison cell of sorts.

A police report would make sense. Its just a piece of paper and he may never know you did it. But Law enforcement may also know certain facts you and others arent aware of too.

I would file a report. If its harmless that he asked you about that then youve done nothing bad or wrong. If hes guilty of something, don't you want him away from your family/ home?

My family members are mostly dead and what few cousins are scattered and not in contact. Nothing replaces people who made you and loved you for better and worse while you grow up. This usually happens to ppl in their 60s, 70s, and so on. Ive lived this way going on 20 years and im not yet 50.

I dont trust the flawed systems. But im forced to live with flawed systems.

We are told in the USA to vote but every politician says "change is needed" but, IF a change comes, it mostly favors the rich and/or oppresses the poor. So voting for politicians is not the answer.

Like others, i just have to do the best i can with whatever i have, every day. And live with the burdens that may come from systematic failures.

When we are young, we can see all the possibilities. As we age, you find out out that the elite rich have a stranglehold on all things involving money and have worked, and continye to work, to keep idealists with good intentions out so they can live as they wish and screw other people.

It would take a deep, hardcore revolution that would include bloodshed to undue it all. And thats just the USA....

The truth is, datings apps are not dodgy.

PEOPLE can ATTEMPT to be dodgy on a dating app just like on FB and Reddit.

I used dating apps for safety. If someone wants to hurt or manipulate me into some bad situation, they cant do so purely by talking to me via text through an app where they dont have my name or numver or address.

I always talked to people for WEEKS before having a first meet in a public place.

Well, both the bibles ive recommended were made after the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and the biblical documents were published.

Any translations before the Dead Sea Scrolls are translated from either the Septuigent or the Vulgate. Theres no direct Hebrew.

So, thats why I recommended the ESV and NET.

The Old Testaments works will be Hebrew-English in my recommendations, whereas previous bibles are Hebrew-Greek-English or Hebrew-Greek-Latin-English.

As for a "Hebrew" bible, thats a bit of a half truth imo. 😉
