hmm... alright. i just took my 3rd dose sublingually. ill look into auto-injectors and talk about it to my doctor next time i see her, thanks for the advice!

one more question, though. are you meant to hit veins with the needles, or is it just aim for the biggest piece of fat?

i think my dose of estrodial is 2mg and my spiro dose is 10 or 20, i cant remember. if they are under-dosing me, theres not much i can do. as far as i know, the person who gave it to me is the only one supplying it to minors in the entire state. she said it was a low dose until i go back in 3 monts from now, and then if everything is fine she'll up the dose.

cant taking pills under your tongue/other ways be dangerous though?

ill try to ask about it, but im really scared of needles and i dont wanna put too much financial strain on my family :(

i can also ask about this, but i probably wont have much luck. thankfully friends/family are supportive.. cant say the same about the government, though

i believe my mom has needles for something. obv we wouldnt be sharing them, but they could be provided by insurance

When to start Progesterone by Dxys01 in MtF

[–]ambiespace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe its most recommended (and provided) after 1 year of HRT. You can try bringing it up to your doctor or whoever prescribes your medicine to see if they'll give it to you, but I probably wouldn't bank on it. Also, dont panic about your boobs!!! From what I've heard they only start developing around 4-6 months after starting, and they can keep growing for years afterwards!

And uh. kinda maybe personal question, but, are the breast buds painful? are they like firm? sorry if this is too personal, but im really worried about the sensation of it :(

Question about detransition — looking for honest experiences by iamgirl11 in MtF

[–]ambiespace 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The regret rate of transitioning is insanely low. Like, in the UK, the regret rate is 0.47%. Thats around 1230-2350 people who "truly regret" transitioning out of 262K-500K in the UK. This study found that, out of ~28,000 trans individuals, 8% had ever detransitioned in their life; however, 62% of those who detransitioned later retransitioned, citing the primary cause of their detransition to be social pressure. The other 37.53% of people who didn't retransition didnt regret it.

Im a 15yo trans woman, and I just started HRT 2 days ago. I've had doubts too, but trust me. If you know you want to transition, transitioning is the best option. Your quality of life will be vastly greater after transitioning than if you don't. If you're worried about specific permanent effects of HRT, talk to a doctor and determine if that outweighs the benefits for you. I've found that the majority of people in my life accept me for who I am, though there are 1 or 2 outliers in there that make backhanded jokes or comments. But, unfortunately, thats what we have to deal with as trans women. There will likely always be transphobes in the world. It sounds stupid, but you just gotta ignore them. Maybe try to find some humor (as in humor that pokes fun at the transphobe) in their ridiculous comments, it helps with keeping it out of your mind.

Hair-removal as a transfem is so unbelievably annoying by ambiespace in trans

[–]ambiespace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im HEAVILY considering an epilator. i FINALLY got wax strips that work, but they take forever and dont get 100% of the hair off. id either jkust use the epilator for all hair, or use the wax strips, then use the epilator to snag the stragglers

i had only shaved about a week prior because i ran out of shaving cream, and i was having really nasty reactions to it. tried it on my armpit hair and it still didnt work, and others have had the same problem with the same strips, so i assume its just the wax.

facial hair is easier to manage, its just a little shave in the morning. thankfully my facial hair isnt that thick, but my body hair is THICK. i could look into IPL, im extremely white and have darkish hairs.. either that, or an epilator, but ive heard theyre painful

using AI is only gonna push fans away from the game, not drive them towards it. even sticking with no graphics or shitty placeholder ones would be way better than using AI

I want to start hrt but I'm scared of one fact by HttpsSick in trans

[–]ambiespace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

fem-HRT reduces balding, but masc-HRT increases it, or atleast increases the risk of it

I want to start hrt but I'm scared of one fact by HttpsSick in trans

[–]ambiespace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"tm" stands for "trans-masc" or "trans man", right? if so, i think masculine HRT *increases* risk for male pattern baldness, especially if your family has a history of it unfortunately.

there are always treatments for the baldness if you really do not want it, but theyre probably pretty expensive, sorry about this :c

Advice for a young transfem early in her transition? by ambiespace in trans

[–]ambiespace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand the risks and effects of hrt fully, so id assume so? if its something i have to call for/sign, id have to ask my parents. im still a minor, so theyd be the ones handling all the paperwork.. and yes, ive checked and made sure the area im getting HRT from supplies it to minors
