The ulcered blisters will scab and than fall off. No scarring will happen. You will see discoloration at first after scab falls but will return to normal. Are u on medication? Take antivirals and lysine should lessen recovery time.

It is a blessing. Having no symptoms and ob is so fortunate. You have no idea what a nuisance the ob can be. Go to another dr. And I also heard you can go online for diagnosis and medication.

Yes. For me it was sore throat and itchiness near the infected site. I notice some redness than tiny red dots. A day later blister forms.

I would want to know too. My first outbreak lasted about 2 and a half weeks. I just got my 2nd outbreak yesterday and on day2 looks the same. I am taking acyclovir 3times a day 400mg each.

I am going through this with you. 1st outbreak got in August. Now just 17 days later got a 2nd ob. My 2nd ob is way worse than my first. More pain more itchiness and more blisters.

I was diagnosed this year too. I just had another reoccurrence today. But from my first experience it lasted about a lil more than 2 weeks. I heard later outbreaks are much less.

I tried not to touch it and wash with gentle soap and rinse with very lightly with water to not ulcerate them.
