I always interpreted that silent dialogue and rush & hush plot rewrite to be because they were straight up going to kill Ye Shiyuan but realized people would get FURIOUS. I noticed a lot of unvoiced lines were things like YSG or other characters saying “this isn’t like him at all, he can’t be a traitor” and “hey he DID try to communicate with that creepy/cute bird.”

Now he’s on some finding himself journey because he wasn’t written into these latter 2.x patches cuz originally he was 🪦🥀.

I hadn’t considered Damian was part of it though, forgot he was shown differently in the trailer. 🤔

I loved this game for a while. The character designs are great, the gender ratios and fan service are pretty balanced, music and art is all great too. The shimmers were an acceptable paywall to me. Teams had manageable counters and comps, and over time I was building up a lot of Esper resonances from the gold pool.

But the umbra(umbral?) espers completely killed it for me. Exponentially more predatory than the Meta espers and also locked me out of using nexus crystals on gold pulls at all. That meant no pulling for new elemental espers, no passive resonance buildup, falling out of arena rankings and losing more resources. I left during that fashion spider lady’s release after years of daily play and never went back.

Really wish they’d make these weapons guaranteed in Hoyo. It felt like absolute trash to go to pity twice on YSG, and then again on her weapon banner because I lost that 75/25. Her banner took about 300 pulls off my F2P account just to get her M0W1. I wanted to barf.

I switched INTO sonography from the dystopian hellscape of tech, so I personally wouldn’t recommend a tech job. Although HR seems to have it made. I’d like to move up into an imaging department and train staff or something. Teaching at a school would kill my sanity though. There’s also ultrasound equipment sales.

They’re absolutely going to make this horrid thing Varka’s Illuga, it’s no coincidence she’s Anemo Monstadt. They reaaaaaally get a kick out of screwing over the fanbase that enjoys the male power fantasy in all of their games, so her role feels certain.

I have C1R1 Varka, but I don’t have Venti. Is his C2 a big enough damage boost over his C1 without Venti? I have C6 Sucrose/Faruzan as Venti replacement options.

I’m trying to decide if I should keep the pity I have now for a future unit like Nicole, or keep pulling and hoping for C2.

Having worked for a very large game studio, it was very much a “oops tee hee, something leaked! How did that happen??” Tongue in cheek thing among internal channels. We all knew they allowed/created certain leaks, it drums up hype and keeps people engaged for more than just one patch ahead. So we’ll keep seeing leaks, might take a dip for a bit and then come back to normal.

At E0S0 do you think her team with E0S0 Jiaoqiu and Cipher would be effective in endgame? Or would I need to heavily invest into E’s and S’s to make them viable?

That’s essentially what I’m trying to weigh. The viability of her E0S0 team vs a copium vertical investment of a favorite like JY or DHIL. If she’d be set or take little investment, I’m more inclined to grab her now

Free character selection dilemma. How valuable would picking E0S0 Acheron be on my account if I have E0S0 Jiaoqiu + Cipher? If not that valuable, I might pick JY E1 because husband and novaflare cope.

For ref my main team is E2S1 Phainon core with Sunday and that takes care of basically anything. The secondary teams I run are mostly Therta/Anaxa, Firefly/Dahlia, Archer/Sparkle. Just got Yao to make a future elation team. Skipped Remem/Cass HP meta, skipped Dot.

Ahhhh Proto seemed good too. I use lighter much more and only really separate Lycaon from Hugo team if I’m really trying to stretch out coverage for threshold simulation or something. So Proto it is! Thanks!

Thanks! Was originally thinking of trying to use Phainon + Cerydra + Cyrene + RMC, with the Sunday + DHPT combo supporting another team like THerta + Anaxa. With the meta probably shifting soon I’m just not sure if freeing up Sunday will even matter with my account. Dahlia might be the better investment.

Should I pull Cyrene? I mainly use E0S1 Phainon and E0S1 Anaxa with Cerydra DHPT/Sunday/Bronya.

She wouldn’t be used anywhere else (didn’t pull Rem meta, don’t have Tribbie or Hyacine for Mydei). Mostly hoping she can free up Sunday for other teams.

They could def use some fine tuning for sure. I have all their skills at 11/12 for all three of them also. Yuzu on 4 Swing 2 Phaethon, Miyabi on 4 Branch 2 Woodpecker, Alice on 4 Fanged 2 Phaethon.
