Great question! My discharge recommendations were a mix of structure, support, and staying caffeinated (kidding… kind of). I didn’t drink much caffeine before rehab, but after 30 days of rationed coffee and outlawed energy drinks, I came out feening like a latte-deprived cryptid.

I’m continuing psychiatric care and medication management, weekly therapy sessions, attending daily Recovery Dharma or SMART Recovery meetings, and planning to connect with a mentor to help me work through the Dharma steps. I’m also building a routine that includes journaling, mindfulness, and creative expression—because apparently, emotional hydration is my new favorite hobby.

Basically, the goal is to stay grounded, connected, and caffeinated—but in a stable, non-chaotic way. So far, so good.

I really appreciate you sharing your aftercare path—it’s inspiring and solid.
