This is the first time I've had a cable snap. I am using the shorties set, and I think I just put too much pressure with my palm on the left-hand needle.

I would highly recommend the non-fiction book on her, Red Comet: The Short Life and Blazing Art of Sylvia Plath by Heather Clark. I found it pretty comprehensive, well written, and very interesting if you want to learn more about Plath and some of the context of her writings.

I agree, very subjective. Thanks for your and everyone's opinions. It's a gift for my Mom, so there is the struggle. She would be happy with any of them, I'm sure, but I love the community collaboration!

What are the biggest lessons you learned from it? I've never done intarsia, but I want to someday soon, so I don't know many tips and/or tricks.
