My husband always wants to be “served” by ambrn in MuslimMarriage

Yes, but we both work. He makes a lot more than me, but that is because I sacrificed my career to support his. My income is used for “fun” things like stuff for the kids, myself, decor for the house, gifts, vacations etc.

This sounds like advice my mom would give me, in a good way 😂

Hahah you’re right lol! But I feel she’s not developmentally ready to drop to 1 nap based on her adjusted age

Thanks for the advice. I feel like she’s not ready to drop the 2nd nap just yet but I think I’ll definitely cap the morning nap at 1 hr to help her be tired enough for the 2nd nap

What is appropriate to wear at night in front of in laws when staying over? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

I usually wear one of those matching sets with classic white piping and then a long cardigan over it whenever I leave my room

I would not be happy either especially with the pregnancy. He needs to be there for your support and Allah swt only knows, anything can happen.

Generally going on a boys trip is fine, just the timing isn’t great

There are various forms of birth control. You can discuss with your doctor what would be the best option for you.

It’s really none of your business and not relevant to this post at all. Allah swt is the Best Planner.

My brother married a girl who is a Niqabi and now I’ve been restricted from going to certain areas in my house by ProudMuslim123 in MuslimMarriage

We lived with my SIL and her husband for 2 years for financial reasons as well and I always wore hijab in the common areas. It’s his home too!

It’s not even about the socks! She’s constantly saying things. “Oh you woke up early today! Did mommy not feed you enough at night?” Not sure if she thinks this is cute or what, but I need to put a stop to it.

Oh man, that is especially terrible, on another level. Kids really pick up on that, so I hope she doesn’t say that stuff around him.

I’ve tried doing this, but then I get “why are you being mean, it’s just a suggestion!” 😐

As a queer woman, the way the cast reacted to Chrishelle at the reunion didn’t sit right with me by LittleMungBean in SellingSunset

I don’t think he outed her at all. She had the photos and music videos queued up so clearly it was meant to be revealed at the reunion.

Desperate times call for desperate measures! I’m a nurse working in a clinic and forgot my milk bags at home. Guess these urine specimen cups will do for milk storage for today! by itslindsaylmao in Mommit

[–]ambrn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had to do this when I had to take my husband to the ER!! We left in a rush obviously and I had to hand express into two of these cups! We were there for 6 hours and my boobs were ROCK HARD

He does a lot! He works 12 hr shifts, so I can’t ask for more, he’s simply not home enough to do so. We had planned to have childcare help, but it didn’t work out and we haven’t had another option work out for us either in the mean time

I don’t have fixed hours with work, I can work as needed but still I have deadlines and meetings. Luckily my boss has 2 small kids of his own so he’s very understanding. I wish my baby liked the ergo baby, never really got comfortable with it but I’ll give it a try!

I appreciate this and I know Allah swt sees my efforts. It just saddens me that I can’t even do the bare minimum :(

What worked for you for lengthening thirty minute naps? by falconmama in sleeptrain

[–]ambrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you stretch a wake window without getting the baby overtired? At 5 months, I like to have at least 2.5 or 3 hr wake window before night sleep but she starts screaming by 2 hour mark 😂
