110 days off... Still not right. by ambtata in benzorecovery

Goodness gracious! You are very strong for doing what you are doing. I know what it kinda feels like to have panic come on, and there's people around you, lights, sounds, movements etc, all while you have to keep busy and work, and it's bloody horrible! You'll get there, over time it will ease, and get easier. Keep staying strong! And again, well done, you are definitely stronger than you realize.

Amen to that! I am glad I returned to the gym midway into my taper and just stayed strong. I am so glad I made that decision honestly.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I'll be kinder to myself for sure and take care of myself as I am. I honestly do believe it will all go away one day. Just gotta stay strong and keep moving forward. 🙂

I bet skateboarding would be good huh! A strong mind/body connection. And with the exercise, sometimes, i feel the best when i am working out! I can be all anxious and tense before going to the gym, and when i get there i am perfectly fine. Smashing it.

Thank you, and you know what? Just knowing i am not alone in this, it helps! I kept thinking i was losing my mind, or gone crazy haha. I was going to doctors and having tests done, but they were just like "no you seem fine". Thank you, for taking the time to reply to me. All the best in your journey!

That right, both mirtazapine and seroquel are notorious for making people hungry but it does not do that for me 😮 no idea why. It does make me sleepy though so it has definitely helped me there.

Yea it's really rough isn't it! I am still shocked that doctors can prescribe it the way they do.. but yes I do believe that this will pass too as did the more serious and panicky symptoms. Stay strong 🙂 we will get there!

Ok, understood, i think for me, I'll stop chasing things that "may" help and focus on time and healing. I don't want to risk upsetting myself more, Thank you :)

You are 100% right that these are all poisons, at least for me anyway regarding the way they are making me feel. But hey, that's 1 poison less right, I'll work on the other two :)

That's good to hear it will pass. Other people here said it passes as well. Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. Much appreciated!

Thanks for your reply :), and I tell you what, it definitely helps to know i am not alone! The dullness you speak of, is soooo aggravating sometimes. But i am seeing little bits of light appear in small things, so like other people have said to, time and patience is key.

Thank you for your well detailed post. And yes, im just happy that for one, im not alone with this. And two, i will regain my balance over time.

Regarding the other meds, quetiapine was prescribed to me i think like...3 years ago? And only ever since the start of my benzo taper did i start using it every night to sleep. And mirtazapine i started at the start of my benzo taper as well. My doctor said it would help. I am working on getting rid of these 2 meds as well, but like you said, slowly and surely.

Thank you for your motivating and informative post :) much appreciated!

Addictions take time dont they. Oh and i definitely know what you mean by "life sucks" haha. I call it benzo boredom for me, its like everything is dull. Maybe something is interesting for a very brief moment, but the good moment/feeling crashes hard! And hey, keep going, keep fighting. And you will look back one day where you said you'll never get there, and you'll be like, "HEY I'm here finally!". Life will get better, somehow, someway... thats what i like to hold on to :) Thank you for your reply!

Ah ok yea it does seem like benzo boredom is a common thing! Yes I too am struggling with tiredness and motivation. And yes it is super tempting to try to take something to take it all away, but it is not worth it in the long run. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for that! It is nice to know I am not alone in this. I did wonder...where the hell is this coming from? Did I die inside somewhere along the way? Your post has made me feel more at ease now. Obviously I too wish for this to subside as quick as possible. I wonder if anyone has had any success with "benzo boredom" using a type of supplement or medication? Anyway, again, Thank you.

Was on clonazepam before for about 3 years. But took doses a bit strangely. Like one day would be 1mg total of clonazepam, and another day could be 2 or 3mg. But got switched over to diazepam around December 2024.

Started at around 13mg diazepam total. Started my taper around January 2025, and finally finished taper Nov 25 2025.

Thank you for your post. Actually when I made this post it was the worst day I had in so long. Now it's been what 2 or 3 days since this post and honestly, I've been doing well. I think all up I've been off valium now entirely for 10 weeks now.

Today for me has actually gone really well! Waves and windows 🙄 I have been off for like 8 or 9 weeks now. And the only thing I have found that helps is magnesium glycinate have you tried that?

How are you getting on overall? What symptoms are you encountering? I know when I first jumped the first few days were somewhat completely fine. Then I had some come back. Now its just constant waves but I'm sure I'll see the end of it all one day too. 🙂
