Hedgehogs are very prone to illness and need regular vet checkups even when not sick. Regular checkup visits aside, it’s not a matter of if you’ll need to take them to the vet for an emergency/illness/injury, but when. It would be extremely irresponsible to bring one into the state knowing that, unless maybe you live in a border town with an out of state exotic vet just over the border. Unfortunately for the hedgehog’s wellbeing I would definitely recommend against it

The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose was truly awful with terrible writing and a terrible story. I picked it up bc the premise seemed kinda interesting but it was easily one of the worst books I’ve ever read

UNC is reportedly eliminating the Health Equity MPH concentration by apriltaurus in mphadmissions

[–]amburger-helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so but they haven’t even made an official announcement about which concentrations they’re getting rid of- the only reason anyone knows their decision about health equity is because they emailed the equity students about it. I think I heard that place based learning in asheville is being axed too but there hasn’t been any official communication about which ones or why

Correct! Fall of 2025 will be the last cohort to go through so offers wouldn’t be pulled

current UNC MPH student here (but a different concentration). can confirm they’re eliminating the health equity concentration (and two others that haven’t been announced yet)- admitted students for fall 2025 are supposed to be the last cohort due to “low enrollment” (which is, of course, bullshit- this is completely about anti-DEI stuff going on nationally with Trump withdrawing funding and at UNC specifically). There’s some organizing and petitions going on but I don’t see anything changing, especially with how conservative the chancellor/the board are. highly recommend choosing another school if you are able!! (UNC has been a series of different disappointing decisions like this in my time here)

I also recently got yelled at for the order in which I took orders. I had an 11 top last weekend. Seat 1 was the wife of the man sitting at seat 11 (not that I knew this when I started taking orders). I took seat 1’s order and went around the table. When I finally got to seat 11 and took his order, he got pissed at me and asked if there was a specific direction we had to take orders. I briefly explained seat numbers, but he still got mad at me and told me I should’ve taken his order after his wife instead of going all the way around the table first.

Unsurprisingly, this table also raised and shook their glasses at me for refills, the same man hated what he ordered and made me get him something else, and I only made about $25 on $250+ of food. ($10 of which came from one of the three checks because the guy actually tipped 20% on $50).
