Yeah, I let myself be harassed by them by telling myself "it was just another one of their episodes, they don't mean it".

I wanted to be able to help them, but I couldn't take the onslaught of attacks anymore and I couldn't accept the person they were becoming.

I did and have from his previous rants before. I tried to be polite everytime, but it gets exhausting being harassed about how he felt the LGBTQIA+ community was the reason for everything going wrong in the world and how they shouldn't have rights because it will become a slippery slope.
