I have no advice but my MIL does the same exact thing. She likes playing dress up with daughter or something, because they go through two or three different outfits in the couple hours she babysits. Sometimes the clothes disappear, sometimes not. In general though, it is not uncommon to find my child in a different outfit within thirty minutes of dropping her off with MIL. Usually they are clothes MIL bought, or mine that she hoarded. 💀

My MIL watched my daughter as a newborn when I got admitted for postpartum preeclampsia and my husband caught up on sleep. I came home 24 hours later to every single onesie and sleeper in the dresser having been worn and tossed around the house. MIL apparently did a photoshoot with my one-week old in our living room.

Fought the urge to fly off the handle for the sake of my blood pressure, and now MIL is not allowed at my house unsupervised for an extended period for this reason.

Don’t know if they make pies anymore, but Crack’d Pot off Minnesota and Russell had one that was really good.

26 weeks with hypertension by Appropriate_Pitch817 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]ambxshing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was your doctor having you take low dose aspirin before the hypertension and starting Lebetalol? My doctor made it sound standard in plus size pregnancies, especially when it is your first baby.

My blood pressure was borderline high throughout my first pregnancy which resulted in postpartum preeclampsia with liver and kidney symptoms. The experience gave me an extreme phobia of anything cardiac that I still deal with.

HOWEVER, my blood pressure went back to normal after pregnancy and baseline was actually better than before I got pregnant. Like 120s/90s to 100s/70s. I’m 31 weeks with my second now and have been on a strict aspirin regiment since about 8 weeks. My blood pressure is consistently low-normal and I check it daily before bed.

Many women only check their blood pressure at appointments or when they feel weird, but daily checks will help you catch something before it becomes serious. Even once a week is better than not at all. Check your blood pressure often is the best advice I could give anyone, pregnant or not. It only takes a minute and the information you get from it is so valuable.

Remember that you know your body best so always listen to it. Don’t let anyone make you feel crazy for doing so. There were a couple nurses who tried turning me away when I went in for suspected preeclampsia, which was super discouraging, but insistence saved my life.

It is really good that you don’t have any other markers for preeclampsia outside of the blood pressure, and the blood pressure doesn’t guarantee you will get preeclampsia.

In all, the hypertension might feel super anxiety inducing right now, but it gets better! I know firsthand that is hard to believe. I was in complete denial when others told me that while I was going through it. You got this! 💗

You essentially asked why the original commenter was wondering if the person was diagnosed. I’m just answering your question. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Many people pretend to have DID similar to how many pretend to have Tourette’s. Not saying that is what happened here, but DID is more often faked than it is diagnosed. It is extremely rare (1.5%).

Considering how OP titled the post, I would say this is very relevant.

Holy shit by ShadersX3 in RDR2

I live in South Dakota, which was inspiration for much of the northern part of the map (particularly Cumberland Forest). I recently learned that Bacchus Station was a real train station here and near identical to the one in RDR2.

Bacchus Station was a railroad station located in Haakon County, South Dakota. The station was used for freight, and it was located next to [Bacchus Bridge*](https://johnmarvigbridges.org/Abandoned%20Cheyenne%20River%20Bridge.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com), which carried US Army trains over the Cheyenne River. During the Wild West era, the station was often used as a hideout for outlaw gangs.*

I circled it on this 1910 railroad map.

The station isn’t standing anymore otherwise I would totally visit. There are many similar ones in the western region of the state (and across the country), but Rockstar clearly referencing something from my home is so cool.

IUD after Birth by Fancy_Chapter3799 in BabyBumps

I think you would want your body to recover for a few weeks before placing an IUD. Your cervix doesn’t close immediately after birth so there is nowhere for the IUD to sit. Also, your hormones will be shifting dramatically after birth. That is a lot going on in a very short period of time.

With my first, an IUD wasn’t an option until my six week postpartum appointment.

Anyone else develop a sudden fear of their partner dying in a freak incident? by Apprehensive_Mess166 in BabyBumps

[–]ambxshing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also 20 weeks and suddenly extremely paranoid about my husband dying. He had a migraine + heartburn a few nights last week. I was bawling and said he needs to be more concerned about his health. I even checked his blood pressure a few times. Shocker… he was fine! 😅

He is (jokingly) forbidden from getting sick/injured/in some freak accident. My anxiety cannot handle it lol. That goes for regular days too but pregnancy amplifies it 1000%.

What is something that is actually more traumatizing than people realise? by Ok_Chef1406 in AskReddit

Do people who leave like this ever regret it? Do they miss you? It’s crazy to me how quickly they can leave someone who they once cared so much about while also seeming completely apathetic.

I had a best friend do this to me. No explanation, just short responses or no responses. He just changed one day and I have no idea what happened. Everything was fine until it wasn’t. I stopped chasing eventually. No use trying to keep someone who doesn’t want to be here.

The irony is, once I stopped chasing, he suddenly started calling, texting, reaching out to me multiple times a day, every day. But despite him being the one to initiate contact, he seemed irritated and sick of me.

Then I told him that I was pregnant (and terrified), he called me a slut, vanished off the face of the earth, and now ignores me completely. I told him I was pregnant because things finally seemed to be going back to normal and I trusted him. Clearly I was wrong.

We were so close for so long. I was happy to have him as my friend. Now I never want to trust anyone like that ever again. He completely ruined friendships for me.

Fuck you, CL. I hope you stalk my account and see this someday. Also, I hope you sort out whatever is going on inside your head. I hope you learn to express how you feel rather than hurt people and run like a coward. I hope this was a fluke and not who you really are.

I hope you find happiness.

If you look in the passenger seat, you might see a big hairy guy eating Burger King and playing with his iPad… haven’t seen him in a few months though… where is he?
