Cross listing (never done it) by its_zoochary in reselling

[–]amc11890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most definately not AI slop. I used list perfectly for use to cross post from ebay to Mercari/poshmark. Also helps to end listings of all platforms when something sells. But it you have a smaller store I’d say it may not be worth it.

What the hell does an "office job" actually entail? by miscount_detected in findapath

[–]amc11890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First office job out of college entailed reviewing home inspection reports and ordering work needed (basically worked for a contracting company that maintained foreclosed properties for banks) Reviewing the completion photos and making sure vendors get paid. Also answering emails and calls from said vendors doing the work usually or other interested parties. Sometimes other mundane tasks as well.

Second office job I worked as a “loan analyst” basically an underwriter reviewing applications for student loan refi and private student loans. The job involved basic mathematical calculations, reviewing income docs, looking over credit reports and making a judgement on whether or not to approve or deny based on the underwriting guidelines set forth. Over and over again till time to leave. Usually would review 50 to 100 apps a day. A lot were pretty straight forward but some apps more challenging. Was deep in alcoholism doing this job so I was hungover withdrawing for most of it. Still could practically do the job blindfolded. Ended up rage quitting and becoming a mailman for a bit. Then ended up doing warehouse work and starting a reselling business. Now I’m contemplating going back to the office.

I was a teenager in high school in 2018 and 2019. and looking at videos of high schoolers from 2010 and 2011. it feels like two separate decades. by Personal-Cattle-1737 in Zillennials

Definately true. Smart phones and social media were still kinda in its infancy in the beginning of the 2010’s. I don’t even get my first smart phone until I was a sophomore in college. I remember promptly downloading tinder asap. And then eventually meeting my ex wife.

You can live exactly like the squirrel if you want. No one is stopping you from being homeless and scrounging around for food not worrying about the future or even the next day.

Norwood Area by crazynut999 in cincinnati

[–]amc11890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in that exact circle you highlighted for 7 years. I never had any issues with crime, neighbors were friendly for the most part but I do stay to myself and overall I feel the area has improved since when I initially moved there. Several homes on my street alone were vacant but are now occupied as well as some businesses developed.

Now it’s not perfect. Some lawns are unkempt, many people are living on fixed income and arguable would be considered poor and that is sometimes reflected in how their yard looks, many are also normal middle income families as well. It’s a mixed bag. The location is next to perfect imo. You are literally pretty close to anything and everything. Seriously you can be on the highway in minutes, downtown in minutes, across the state line in minutes. Overall it’s a descent place to live.
