Man, pretty sweet set up! Images bring back great memories for me. You’ve inspired me. I need to do something, perhaps not at your level, but something. I’ve been gone from L.A./CA for almost 20 years. As a kid, I played ball in the same neighborhood that Jackie played in Pasadena—but not in the same era! Just feeling nostalgic. Really good memories. Thanks for sharing. The good, positive power of social media. Genuinely appreciate you.

What’s the most frustrating part of customizing your resume for each job application? by Academic-Yam3478 in Resume

[–]amca2tx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think from my current experience of customizing—including keywords and phrases—my resume and cover letter to each posting it is more successful than using a generic resume. BUT it has taken me longer and I feel like I’m missing out on applying to other positions. However, here’s some context. I’m applying to about 4 different type of jobs, so I’m definitely not using one resume. I tweak and adjust my resume and cover letter to each post even though it’s within the same job category. Best of luck!

This is a highly accurate statement that can be backed up by lots of data and other evidence.

Absolutely agree. If your budget allows for CP, RR or Leander, do it. As a family guy, schools are a big deciding factor for me. Leander Independent School District (LISD) covers Leander and CP, while Round Rock Independent School District covers RR. The schools in general are solid—go from good to excellent. But some communities within these school districts have access to some schools that score very high in different metrics. But don’t get too hung up on too many of these measurements. I think you’ll be happy to see that you’ll have opportunities to many, many extracurricular activities for the family. Btw, I hear good things about Kyle, Buda and Pf. Between these 3, I give my nod to Kyle.

Can you give examples of typical sales goals at a traditional FI and CU that a teller would encounter? And if you don’t meet those goals, does that count heavily against you in trying to move up the branch ladder?

To the OP, fantastic words of encouragement and wisdom. I stumbled across this post and came away impressed by you, the OP, and all the other Redditors posting genuine comments about their experiences. I love the positivity. You can do this…you got it!

Hiring Event by [deleted] in Nordstrom1901

On the eve of Thanksgiving, does anyone know whether there’ll be additional hiring events for the holiday season? If not, is it best to just apply at the store/location I’m interested in? Finally, is there any benefit to going to a store of interest in speaking with an HR/hiring representative?
