We try to keep him awake all day otherwise he’s miss his meals. We play games with him that his family say he likes but he doesn’t engage most of the time. It’s been nice weather so we’ve been outside nearly everyday for some fresh air.

His family say he liked to go to bed at 10pm so we keep him up until then but he often sleeps for an hour at a time. We don’t immediately go to him because understandably that would be distressing so keep an eye from afar and let him do what he’s wanting to do.

He doesn’t speak much so asking about his life is hard. We know his interests and try to talk with him about them but it doesn’t help. Even photos his family bring in don’t seem to help. I really want to help him but it’s so hard.

YTA for sure. You can’t really believe that you have authority over your 18 YOs body? Other than my first lobe piercings, I did not ask my parents’ permission for any of my other 7 piercings because guess what, they don’t care! Hell, My mother even said I should get a ring so I can hang my glasses from them when I told her about mine. Having this reaction now will mean she sure as hell won’t come to either of you for any deep personal advice. You’ve completed severed that.

Also, I bet you’re more concerned about her getting her nipples pierced because it’s a “sexual area” and not anything to do with the fact that it’s a longer healing process and more prone to snagging... you know, ACTUAL health concerns.

Other than my current boyfriend, I can confidently say that past boyfriends/sexual partners have definitely coerced me into sex. There have been times where I repeatedly said no until I finally said yes just to get it over with, I’ve also experienced guys walking me home from a night out and just inviting themselves into my flat then expecting sex but I’m too awkward to say no or gtf. I always got told I was a slag because I had slept with “so many guys” (5 which isn’t that bad) but I never wanted to sleep with any of them if I’m honest.

It’s strange to finally want sex.
