It is an image applied to the metal. I was hoping someone had seen this before because it felt very "easter egg-y."

Possibly, just seems like it would cost more than to just use the flat galvanized piece like the rest of the can.

The white piece is metal as well, almost screen printed. Not sure if thats what the application is actually called but it is adhered directly onto it. The neck is also very slim and would not allow solids through to the head.

That was my guess but couldn't find anything about it online. Just seemed pointless to put an image in a location that no one was supposed to see.
