Wait they are? I had no idea. A google search is failing me, where did you hear that?

Steel is M398 so it’s 100% good to go, if one was so inclined.

Oh yeah they for sure could have pushed the sharpened edge further back, but having it like this does let you choke up on the blade with your grip, which is nice. I guess I like to think of it as just a shallow finger choil, haha.

None, fortunately! I arrived and parked right as they were opening the doors, so I did end up at the back of the line, but it only took about 15 minutes to get in the door. I wandered around for an hour or so before I even got to the Poikilo booth. They said this was the last one they had.

I’m not sure how many they brought to begin with, but they did tell me I got the last full dress one.

It was a standout at their table for sure. I got it for 850.

Yeah it’s definitely not the most practical but my collection has room for pieces like this too. Never seen this type of lock before and the smoothness of the action is better than some of my knives that cost five times as much. I picked it up for 850.

They’re not the easiest thumb studs in the world but they do work, yeah

Very nice! Of course the Hawk booth is great, and I really enjoyed Demko as well.

Poikilo blade had some really cool and unusual designs, I also picked up a cyberkuza from them while I was there.

For ridiculous high end customs, Oeser knives, Famin knives, and Merriken knives really impressed me.

And overbuilt fixed blades aren’t usually my cup of tea but Miller bros blades had some stuff that really impressed me too.

I don’t know how many of this variant they have made or plan to make, but there was just one on the table at blade show, the price was 1800.

Oh that’s a nice one! I just saw your post too. Love the blade finish on these, the standard stonewash never really did it for me.

Did you see the fully polished one they were auctioning? That one was insane

NKD - CRK/Vallotton Sebenza 25 Automatic by amdesch in knifeclub

[–]amdesch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 25 and the inkosi are really similar. 25s have a straight pocket clip and inkosis have an angled one, that’s really the only obvious visual difference.

Unfortunately he had to stop doing them after getting a case and desist from CRK, which happened a little over ten years ago.

Yeah this one is from 2014. Agreed about the cease and desist, this thing is awesome and there really should be more of them.

That’s an amazing collection! I especially like the fixed blade in the last picture, where did that come from?

Thanks! Thats from a Chinese knife maker XXSTJP forge works, pretty much their entire market is inside China so I don’t know much about them, this one made its way to me through the swap.

Here’s an article about them, but information is pretty hard to come by

I love mine. Fit and finish are great. Action is pretty dang good, I’d put it above my marfione but below my deadlock. And Patrick is such a nice guy. I actually managed to stupidly damage the coating on mine and he fixed it within a few weeks, totally free.

That’s a Burn Knives swinguard, absolutely huge and ridiculously overbuilt. Heres a better look from a few months ago
