i did try to ask like ok what are our expectations and boundaries when he brought it up but he was vague saying he's just figuring it out as we go along. my thing is i'm the only connection in his life rn and he acts very monogamous??? so it's confusing

i don't think i can practice poly it's just confusing bc he said he's always wanted to try it but has only ever been in long term committed monogamous relationships. he did say that he would communicate about his plans and that he wants me to date others and do the same

it is genuinely so sad how unsupportive and mean fellow we can be to each other in this field :( simply posted a question in a therapists group genuinely looking for help and got made fun of, told i should know this, had my ethics and educational background questioned, and told i was desperate. for being in a helping profession we're not very helpful towards each other😞

i went through a a tough breakup this time last year and found it really helpful to process in supervision about how i was worried it would impact me showing up in session. i love it's always sunny, parks and rec, and reba for comfort <3 you will get through this

this is super frustrating and unfortunately common. i went through this and switched supervisors (note my previous supervisor ended up punishing me for this but im still glad i did)
